At 2:10, if you attempt a split body, it would produce the same result as a simple extruded cut.

Was wondering about that. Thanks!

I am always simultaneously amazed, and never amazed, by your videos (for their consistent quality). Your solutions are very clear and elegant, at least to me.

Out of curiosity, what about sweeping either a surface or solid? Using the small face on the right hand side ( using 3d sketch or second sketch plane)? I assume different sweep settings would yield different effects. Guide path, surface, and parallel/perpendicular etc.

I tried sweeping the profile from the right side. I also tried to sweep a surface. In both cases, I would get errors. It seems like sweeping would not nicely cut into the solid.

The second method is a lot more intuitive to me personally but I can see the first method being more robust as the scenario gets more complex

Nice video but there is no difference between extruded cut whitch normal to split line and the cut normal to surface. So what is purpose?

You missed one step. Wait for 10 mins while Fusion hangs then finally crashes. Redo all your work again. Rinse and repeat.
