These comments are hilarious, the video gives you an idea of what’s involved so any competent person has a bit of a heads up before doing the job, if you want to watch a 2 hour video look elsewhere but I like these videos sure some parts are glossed over but this is all I need to tackle the job 👍🏼

I can assure you it’s not that easy I had a guy replace my ball joints and control arms over the weekend and when the control arm bolt good stock you’re gonna have to cut it out he had a $1200 snap on Impact wrench and I didn’t budget they don’t come out easy they come out easier than going in but this is going to be like a newer ball joint replacement to make the video look great

5:14 there is space between the resting plate of the joint and the knuckle.... 5:26 magically the joint is mated with the knuckle..LoL...

In most cases you will have to detach the strut from the spindle, and take the spindle out to remove the bj. Lots of punching. And that's if the bj comes out easily from the lca - may need abj separator.

Thank you for your feedback! You are absolutely right - each car requires particular replacement and everything depends on a technical condition of car parts units. To dismantle the ball joint, it is better to use a specific tool for removing it, as the cone sometimes gets sour and to remove it will be very uneasy. Best wishes, Autodoc.

Wait! Did he just tapped the ball joint to align the holes? I thought there are gears on that? The ball joint was not seated yet and he just tightened the bolts to get it seated. Is that ok?

So fake. There are some magical edits jumping over the most difficult moments of the job, in which the proper (special) tools were most likely used off camera. Almost looks like he's pantomiming at times. Why do this? Note the difference between 5:14 and 5:26, where suddenly the ball joint is fully seated in the knuckle. This video is not that helpful because it doesn't honestly represent what it takes to either remove or install the ball joint.

i couldnt get mine out, ther was NO lip provided for knocking it down n out and lack of access elsewhere, i had smack a chisel into the soft ally above it near the bolt hole then it fucked the bolt hole up, had to file it all level and retap it ......even then it cross threaded when trying to fit it ......GRRRRRR !!

lol oviusly the video was made for show the job easy and fast cause time i change the ball join in a 04 and yes was harder and dirty asfk marketing is for viw and this video is marketing if the ball join is bad this will show movement in the end of the nut i means if you tried to install and still give u turns and turns thas a bad ball join
