Can the shock absorbers make a "hollow" noise while driving on bumpy roads? My vito is making it loud on the rear side and shakes the vehicle.

Why do you not undo the wheel nuts in the correct order? ( Cross pattern )

When you twist it doesn't matter, when you twist it you need to twist through one.

My vito rear suspension is snagged. Not sure about the rear shocks. Seems like a whole rear strut is loose

Thank you for your feedback ! Unfortunately, it is hard to specify the torque value. You can find this information in the Repair Manual for your car. Best regards, Autodoc.

Thankyou . I beilieve 130nm is the correct torque for the damper bolts and 110nm for the wheel bolts.

Thank you for the feedback! All torque specs are indicated in the technical documentation on the vehicle maintenance, you can find them out at the official car dealer. Best regards, Autodoc.

A torque of 130nm will not allow the shocker eye to pivot on the bolt, resulting in either the rubber bush self destructing or the shocker failing as the angle of the shock absorber changes owing to movement in the rear suspension.

why need to pump ?
@autodocuk8 жыл бұрын
When you transport the shock absorbers, the oil within the cavity pocket may remain in one of the compartments. Therefore, we recommend to pump a few times before the installation to make sure it works fine and the valves are ok. Best regards, Autodoc.
