I’m having the exact same problem with 3rd gear in my 24 TR. definitely not a driver issue. I can’t wait to upgrade the shifting in the future

Interesting! I drive mixed and sometimes spiritedly and get an average of 27.4mpg and my mom who drives her VB softly gets 33mpg! I’m 25k miles down and 0 issues. Very fun car, would definitely recommend to people who are out there! By the way, I had to mention I also have that creaking sound but it’s on the driver side pillar. 😮 I’ll be getting it checked next time I’m at the shop

I just made an appointment for the second time to have my AC compressor probably replaced. It makes that swirling sound every couple of seconds when the AC is off. Already replaced under warranty once. So at this point I’m like “ok Subaru, what are we gunna do here, I can’t be having this getting replaced every 6 months”

Alignment issues, less than 5k miles. Took it to the dealership and it was out of spec. Got it back and the steering wheel still off center. Put it straight, pulls left.

2024 TR here. Had a rattle in what I thought was the A-pillar. I traced it to the hood bumper on the passenger side of the car (middle, side of the hood). They jiggle a bit and cannot be tightened. I stuffed a bit of foam in and the noise went away. Not sure if this is your issue, but the noise was crazy noticeable in mine.

Go to Lowe's, buy a pack of those Felt-Chair feet pads (the rectangle strips) and use those for all your shakes and rattles. You'll nail them all and they're skinny enough to shove anywhere there is plastic rattle, completely out of view.

if you own a WRX fuel economy should be out of the question.
@mkloudsql3285
@mkloudsql3285 3 ай бұрын
Yea but for a 270hp car the fuel consumption is not on par with modern motors. A 2024 mustang gt gets better mpg's by 10. Letting a Vb warm up everytime it want to and driving conservative, 18-21 is what you can expext

Being a Subaru fanboy, I still hate the exterior. Aeroflow did very well with the exterior mods and is why I feel this should have been the way it was from factory, not the Crosstrek vibe the car is currently on.

Yeah AWD makes a huge difference, there is almost a 7% difference in mechanical and translation loses with the drivetrain for the average awd relative to a single driven car.

Ive got about 12k on my 22 WRX. I am now considering the new Celica. The WRX is a Good car, affordable, capable. But you know what? Why is it Exactly As Capable has the Hawk Eye 2007 WRX? Same 0-60, just reskinned. Like I said, its a good car, but I am not interested in basically a Car from 2007. I want better Looks, Better standard Mechanical Equipment like Brakes and Power, No Cladding, and for Subaru to stop letting Toyota take the lead. Unless Subaru starts standing up straight and correcting their Posture, their Crowd of Brand Loyalty consumers will in fact move on to other vehicles. 2026 Celica, Supposed to be AWD, 300kw (so 350-400hp - We'll see about that), 2.0liter Turbo, Priced between 40-50k. I am a going to go for the Car with more power if I have to spend 40k. You have to spend 40k just to get Brembo's on a WRX New. Im not interested in voiding warranties n such. There's other things in life that cost money. So like I said, the WRX is a Great Starter Performance Car. But its a Starter... for 40k if you want Warranty Backed better brakes.
@AutoEnthusiast
@AutoEnthusiast 3 ай бұрын
A few things here, the newer WRXs are far more robust, tuning can make a lot of power. That said, sure the Supra is great, if a Celica is delivered it might be fun! It for sure won't be close to 40k based on the "leaks". But we shall see, toyota definitely hasn't said anything yet!

@@AutoEnthusiast I want Subaru to succeed. They have the know-how, but the bean counters need to step back just a smidge and allow for some design freedom. Take the 4th Gen Legacy. The Spec B honestly nailed it for the era. Fantastic lines, size, interior; however, they needed the car to be bigger to compete with camry, accord, etc. But they Chose a rectangular box. There comes a point in time that a company must realize that low sales isn't just because of A, or B, but because of C and D as well. The 2020 was the first time I really liked that rectangle. Then they nose-dived the front. I know its a dual design that has to be able to "Somewhat fit" two models, but they Missed the mark in the fact that people are snobs lol. They care about how they look in their car. And they buy specific ones to fulfill that "Look". And I get it, im not saying all the reasons for the cars existence aren't valid, like I said, its a good car. But my argument here is For Example: The Extra Stamping, The Panels are painted all the way through, then the manufacturing of the 100 something dollar plastic pieces, Clipped and Double sided taped on? Delete all that, and there's enough room to allow for fully painted bumpers and rocker panels for the same pricing. But I digress, we all know why the flares happened: We all saw the Viziv concept actually believed in Gloss Black accenting, and received Outback styling in the name of pumping up price tag. Its the things like that, that raise a flag in the noggin. I mean literally I would know, I run a Collision Repair shop. I would just argue sales would go up with a cleaner looking car, and an improvement mechanical wise. They used to offer a Brembo package that could be added, but they took that away for Trim-sake. Its this penny pinching that stinks of Govt involvement. If Subaru would come out and say, "Well we can't because US Trade Laws state emissions must yada yada", then I would say okay thank you for bringing this to our attention (In a perfect world lol). Well perhaps with a change in Govt, a step in the right direction could open up for the Rally Side of Subaru. No Cladding, Brembo brake package available for Add On (Lowers Assembly and allocation cost - As needed basis), Hp rating at 285, and the only grumbling you would've heard is how there was no Hatch. Car would have nailed it for the WRX Badge as many were already used to the VA. Thats 3 things that can wipe 60-70% of the criticism off the car and add sales. With the 2.4 findings coming after, You would retain some older STI owners who went for the GR Corolla, Type R, Elantra N, etc. I want Subaru to succeed because I trust their drivetrain system the most, but not if they're letting out of touch bean counters make decisions that Consumers ARENT even looking for/caring about.
