I just received my GT101 today. Although I read the manual, I was a little confused. However, after watching your amazing video, I feel comfortable about knowing what to do to locate bad connections, circuits, and Units my motorcycle. Thank you Christina! ah the for the case I'm assuming you are referring to the tool itself? if so yes it if feels very rugged, I haven't dropped mine yet but I do toss it around quite a bit lol If you are referring to the box the tool comes in, it's just card board, while I do use it to store my tool, it's not a rugged case and the tool will fall out if the box is dropped. Good tool. It's not clear the reason you say the relay contacts aren't good when you clearly hear them changing state. It's the part where you disconnected the contact wire. Second, what if you only get the green light? What does that mean? Thank you.

Hi 39bebchito! Yes it's a pretty good tool for sure. The relay I showed on the video works, when I disconnected the wire I simulated a bad relay (notice the lights on the GT101 relay test PCB show only 2 of the 3 required LED lights on and there is no longer a clicking sound coming from the relay) It's not common but it can happen where the contacts are being closed by the magnetic force but the contact won't actually make a solid connection either due to the contact being physically unable to reach the contact pad or due to contamination, wear, or oxidation of the contact pad. Regarding the green light, that should flash with a normally open relay. Hope this helps, Cheers!

This thing is far cheaper than any of the other power probes I've seen; does make me have to wonder why it's so cheap. But as a person who can't find a mechanic to work on our old ass Astro van and is having to do it myself, this might be useful at a price I can actually afford Do you use this device often? Is it still holding up well? Can it be used to "jump" a starter motor?

Hi 3nertia! Yeah it definitely has come in handy here in the garage (non commercial use) so it's still going strong (but will update this comment if something changes) Regarding using to test fire a starter motor, yes I'm sure it can, it can output 10A with a 20A overcurrent circuit breaker. Hi Nomad Autotech! Nope this does not have wire induction testing but I have played with induction testers in the past (I may show one on the channel on a later video explaining how it works) but as cool as the concept and idea behind is, I have not been able to use it myself successfully in car diagnostics (I used it in the manufacturing environment for harness testing) But if you still want to try one, check out the PowerProbe ECT3000 which can be used to trace wires amzn.to/3vRLAbD Hope this helps, Cheers!

Hi Dew Mot! in the same way I tested the one with 6 contacts but instead of connecting 6 wires, I would only connect 4 wires to each contact (making sure to match them correctly as shown in the video) Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!

Hi John! my Super Probe is still working great! and at about a quarter of the the price of the of the Power Probe IV I can't complaint lol There closest in terms of price is the Power Probe 3 (if you don't need the graphing screen) but it is still double the price of the Super Probe but I may also do another video comparing them side by side. Yeah all these functions that you state you haven't seen before is literally on every genuine power probe. This thing uses old parts from older iterations of the power probe. I wouldn't trust this. Get the real thing. This thing is false advertising all over the place the only thing it has going for it is that it can test 40 volt systems but that still isn't enough for golf carts which a lot of people burn up their genuine power probe testing. All of the parts on this thing are knocked off and I wouldn't waste my money on this. It would be in the trash within the First 6 months of use
