Really glad that Honda is bringing back buttons and dials! I hate the interior of a Tesla Model 3, with virtually everything being controlled like on a mobile phone. Unfortunately, a car is not a mobile phone, in that the driver's priority is watching the road ahead and concentrating as much as possible on driving, not staring at the stupid huge screen in the centre. Bravo, Honda.
@johnc.3252 жыл бұрын
To be fair, I never look at the screen on my Model 3 to adjust anything; sound I adjust through the button on the wheel, and everything else is voice commands. I thought I'd hate the lack of physical buttons, but it hasn't really an issue at all.

Best fuel economy so Far. This car is heavily underrated by all the reviewers out there. And its a Honda. Heavy petrol head here, i drive tested many of them before i bought one, from the likes of CX30, Toyota RAV4 ,Corolla Cross, CH-R Renault Austral, Alfa Tonale, Hyundai Tucson, Qashqai etc.. all of them hybrids except the CX30 186 Skyactiv X. -The HR-V was by Far the most refined (the Civic and ZR-V , CR-V are the only ones better though) , it has alot of space, noone will mention the luggage space beneath the back seats, which i would say is more then 100l , since there is a big hole underneat them (which are also called "magic" and can be raised). Space on the rear seats is like in Mercedes S Class, nothing i mean nothing comes close from those cars mentioned above. The space behind in the trunk is not really 320 liters, its is far more and also if you count the volume space that can go up till glass its plus, and not to forget there is a large socket in the trunk aswell, + its a flat space when you put your seats down, campers can sleep here with 180cm length . Also Few things to mention -The fuel economy is so great, in city around 2.8-3l without special treat, 3.8l during 100kmh, 5.5 during 120kmh, on 130kmh it is around 6.9 (the CX30 is better on highways) -The performance is around 8.8 to 0-100kmh alot quicker then stated, and is faster them most of the cars in this segment to 80, only the Hyundai Tucson HEV with 260hp feels quicker. -The sound isolation and especially the comfort is AMAZING, PLEASE DO NOT listen to those reviewers out there complaining about the noise, they don't have a CLUE what they are talking about. Maybe they drive Porsche taycans far too often or they just hit the pedal till the medal all the time... Only and i mean ONLY if you 100% throttle heavy foot accelerating on Sport mode (on eco is quiter but slower) the noise from the engine complaining is obvious and many don't know that the models from 2023 and 2024 have better insulation then the previous versions from 2021, which contributes to 10kgs heavier car weight. And for that 100% throttle , well lets be real you will be doing this only to impress or showcase the car, i would say Less then 1-5% of the time, since if you want to pass a car in your line, on a highway or uphil the electric motor by itself with 50% throttle is MORE then fast and the engine will be relatively quiet the e-cvt managing the noise, and if you lift your leg even 5% off the throttle it immedietely silences the roaring so you will get used to that play and you won't loose much acceleration. I cannot imagine how this car is so cheap compared to other ones in B or C segment. And the looks aswell... in the Sunlight White premium, it turns every 3rd head around, it's just Nuts how it attracts attention, maybe people don't know what it is or there are too few of them... You won't have that in Sportage or RAV4 or Tucson trust me .. (if you care about that, which i find it to be uncomfortable)

Have the same powertrain in the Jazz and got to say it's been fantastic so far. Regularly returns 65mpg on my 90 mile motorway commute, very refined, much quicker than you'd expect in the real world and whatever dark sorcery is going on under the metal it's absolutely seamless to the driver. Oh, and it almost caused me to crash a 320 MSport! Was test driving the Jazz and 3 series back to back (the Jazz won mainly as it *slaughtered* the 3 on ride comfort believe it or not), pulled up at roundabout in the 320, spotted small gap almost identical to one I'd taken a few minutes earlier in the Jazz. Forgot that the Jazz is an EV at low speeds so instant torque compared to the slight lag of the turbo 3... Honda do seem to be on a bit of a hot streak at the moment, looking forward to seeing what the new Civic's like in Euro trim.

I drove a 2022 Honda HR-V hybrid for my road trip from San Francisco to Yellowstone National Park. I drove over 2100 miles and I average 32MPG for my trip. What I like: camping mode works like wonder when I sleep in it in camping ground when temperature was around 30 degree. It was comfortable to sleep inside while the engine is keeping the temperature around 75 degree. Well equipment with technology: lane centering, blind spot monitor, power seat for both driver and passenger seats, moon roof, Adaptive Cruise Control. What I don’t like: 32MPG is low for a hybrid vehicle. Lane centering is not reliable. Seat is very uncomfortable. It is the worst seat I have tried ever.

@faeinthebay2 жыл бұрын

@djc26092 жыл бұрын
I've test driven both although it was only for 20 minutes. I found the HR-V to be much better to drive. It has more poke than on paper due to the torque from the electric motor, much better brakes, better ride quality and certainly much easier to drive due to improved visibility all around. CX-30 interior does feel a bit more premium with leather (or leather-like material) across the dashboard but CX-30 infotainment screen is not very good and small. CX-30 also looks like every other Mazda and is known to have very poor air conditioning which is an important factor if you live in warmer climate. CX-30 should have an edge in acceleration above 60km/h for situations like overtaking or merging onto motorway, but around town HR-V felt like it has more usable torque.

The leg room in the back is hyuge , a family starter . great job as always Thomas . there are faster more powerful cars but way more expensive and less mpg and space (and don't look as good). My goal was a small powerful engine with high horsepower and gas mileage. and I got a spacious nimble car, also, with the Accord. (The Accord Touring does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds) my LX is plenty fast and powerful for about 12K less. I saw my LX was listed at top speed 150mph , but in California it has a governor that stops it at 129mph . but when I maxed it to 129 it felt like it could keep going faster.

I don't like the "concealed" rear door handle but otherwise it's a good looking car that I would consider if they bring it to Canada. Huge improvement over the current HRV.

They’re bringing it here this summer BUT it won’t be hybrid and IMO we get an ugly grill compared to this one.

Also the North American model ditched the concealed real handle so you may like that better !

Hybrid technology really adds to the cost of the final price of the car. Petrol turbo's are cheaper. Plus it increases the insurance group. Many reasons they don't sell that many in Europe. Keep it simple HONDA.
