Information on models and engines:
The GLE 400 4MATIC is powered by a direct-injection twin-turbo V6 engine with spray-guided combustion, new piezo injectors and MSI multi-spark ignition. This engine produces an output of 245 kW (333 hp) and 480 Nm of torque
The 150 kW (204 hp) four-cylinder GLE 250 d diesel offers an official fuel consumption of (5.4 l/100 km)
The first Mercedes-Benz SUV with plug-in hybrid technology, GLE 500 e 4MATIC, has a system output of 325 kW (442 hp). The drive system components comprise a BlueDIRECT V6 direct-injection petrol engine with 245 kW (333 hp) and a hybrid module with 85 kW (116 hp) of electric power. The system peak torque is a massive 650 Newton metres.
Not shown in this video, the GLE 500 4MATIC with direct-injection twin-turbo V8 engine produces an output of 320 kW (435 hp) and a peak torque of 700 Newton metres

alianisz I drive my 4 year old ML250 on rocky dirt roads that are much tougher than the one in the video. And I have done so since the ML was new. my ML has air and low range gearing.

Honestly...I had no clue a MB could do this. If this thing can pull a small off road trailer behind it while going uphill then sign me up but I want a 500e hybrid.

Great video gives useful insight into off road capabilities. Only comment, would be good to know if the test vehicle had the standard drivetrain and suspension or of it was equipped with the optional 'off road' pack that includes diff lock and low range gears. Thumbs up from me though.

Oh this is definitely better than x6. X6 can't even go 2 m from asphalt coz it will stuck. This thing is doing really good job on off-road I like it

I’ve got a GLE 400 and i would be so scared to do that. Nice to know it can do it. I’ve going to MB world next week to do some off roading but so will not be using mine. Lol. Really can’t wait.

Ich mal je frage in die Runde : im TV oder eben auf Kanälen wie diesem hier sieht man oft das wenn die zündung beim Auto aktiviert wird, das ohne , dass der Motor angeht der drezahlmesser, Tank Anzeige, Tacho etc, also alle Zeiger sich nach rechts drehen und oft noch alle lämpchen aktivieren. Versteht ihr was ich meine? Wie bekommt man das hin also was muss ich genau machen. Würde das gerne bei meinem Auto auch mal sehen, sieht cool aus

Timo Ta Hi! Also das hängt ganz vom Auto ab. Manche Fahrzeuge haben das so einprogrammiert, dass das genau so passiert. Kannst du nicht selber beeinflussen

Ah OK aber komischer Weise habe ich das schon bei diversen herstellern mal geshen. Ich habe ein Golf 7 1.2 TSI - DSG, wie geht das denn zum Beispiel bei einem Auto wo man das 100% machen kann, also was muss man da machen? Dann könnte ich es ausprobieren

Timo Ta Also ich habe noch nie gehört, dass man das separat einstellen kann. Eigentlich passiert das, wenn du die Zündung anmachst, aber nicht den Motor. D.h. bei einem Knopf: Drücken, ohne dass du auf der Bremse bist. Oder beim Schlüsselumdrehen: Nicht bis zum Ende, sondern bis eine Stufe davor drehen

Range Rover sport all the way. It's better in looks, performance, luxury, and capability. It also seats 7 people. And he Mercedes GL or G Can't even try to compete with the actual Range Rover.

All kind of Range Rover look like piece of ugly shit compared to German cars especially Mercedes. Slow as shit and costs more than a powerful Mercedes. A cheaper v6 Mercedes SUV is better than v8 Range Rover
