Talking about quality, I will mention, that the Corolla Cross for Europe is one of the few Toyotas still “Made in Japan”. Hatchback and TS are “Made in UK”. Besides the fact, that the Cross is a bit more “plasticy”looking and feeling inside and out, it is absolutely superb in terms of technical build quality, paint, finish (gaps, etc.).

I bought an Atmos Corolla Cross 2 years ago. Same colour. Its been good. I had problems with the battery and I bought a replacement. Its been fine since. I get 4.7 L/100.

its a common issue with that battery. so you just replaced the standard one and it was fine after?

Hi, For some inexplicable reason, the Corolla Cross is built on a substantially shorter wheelbase (2,639 mm) than the Touring Sports (2,700 mm). Everything that is gained in head room with the boxy profile of the Cross is lost in rear seat legroom. To makes things even more strange, the Prius is also built on Toyota's TNGA-C platform and its wheelbase has been stretched to 2,751 mm.

Glad you like them! i always try to use the cars in my normal day-2-day life as much as possible to get a real-world perspective on them. and some things just arent good where other things are very good

The "SIM card tray" is, in fact, a cover for the switch that allows you to switch transmission to neutral with the engine off

@autogefuel I got one for two years now, I know it inside out. I was amazed for the high prices you get in NL, in Cyprus the 2 liter hybrid, in top trim, is at 39.300 euro

Thank you. An excellent review. The size just fits into my garage with enough (albeit modest) features to lift it from the really cheap econobox level. Too bad about the black roof-lining. My old Honda Jazz at least has a light-coloured roof-lining.

Tried both, liked the cross design but the touring sports has more quality, you notice when shutting the door or look at the plastics. And its more expensive without having more extras. Waiting for my new van

I have been hesitating between keeping the TS or changing for the cross. The TS feels outdated, the screen/infotainment (albeit being the same here), the camera looks like from 2010, no 360 camera option, etc But indeed, it’s a bit better quality.

So would you buy the corolla cross or the TS? And did you notice any big difference in fuel economy between the two cars?

Merci pour votre reportage , j ai acheté une corolla cross hybride de 200cv et je ne regrette pas mon moi choix pourtant il existait récemment le 140cv , mais j avais la crainte d être un peu trop court en puissance car je vais tous les ans en Espagne donc pour les montées des col en france c était un peu juste je pense , salut et merci 👍👍

Have read that the 4wd version have a better suspension in the rear so the ride quality is also better on that version. Strange that Toyota cant fix the road noise problem. Many Toyota models have that issue.

id say its a economies of scale problem. Adding 500 euro in sound insulation to a car doesnt sound like much, but with the volume that toyota builds the costs add up in a hurry.

This is the mild hybid. Do you know if the Toyota Corolla Cross comes as Plugin Hybrid too?

here in NL it only comes in this Hybrid form. If you want the plugin option you need to go for the C-HR or the RAV-4

Needs a 6 cylinder , power seats on ALL TRIM , rear wipers on All trim , adjustable power seats, Heated seats and steering wheel all trim levels

Low sound insulation, swmall elements vibration, thin like paper windshilds thats something wchich needs to be adressed by toyota and for god sake get rid of ev,sport buttons on non Phev hybrid as it does nothing, on flat car park with full battery it can crawl mayby 200m before normal petrol zngine start up, so there is no point of ev buttons😕

agreed! dont understand why these buttons are in any car really. Unless you have 400+ horsepower to play with, they are absolutely pointless and nobody will ever touch them
