Actually when the R8 launches correctly it can stick right next to the Turbo S. There’s stock R8’s running low 10’s. They just launch very inconsistently whereas the Turbo S launches perfect everytime

Well, it's AWD vs RWD cars and most of these American cars are rwd so it's unfair. Also, most American performance cars except the C8 are front engine configuration which gives them a disadvantage in a dig race against rear and mid engine layout cars.

the owner of the r8 is an owner of a fast 911 turbo s I've had on the channel and ia not new to racing. But to his defense... this was his first time racing the r8. He had got it about a month ago. I can't say he didn't launch it correct or not, but fact is, the turbo s is quicker.

I remember when I first got my turbo s last year and raced the r8s and lambos and was blown away by the launch. Decided to go with a bigger turbo kit and now making 920 to the wheels. Shit is scary fast from 60-180. 0-60 was around 2.6-2.8 stock with the right tires but with slicks all around the dragy is showing 1.9 in the right conditions. Makes you black out for a sec 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Stock r8/Lambo launch control is all for safety they 98% of the time bog at launch. The only cure for this is to be tuned. The Porsche has more low end tq with turbos.

Thet turbo is kinda weak. Should run 2.4 in the heat and do these without the baggage of passengers. 60-130 in 8.1 is ki da slow too, not very quick. Should be in the mid-high 6 sec zone.

That's because the driver likely didn't even use the PSRB otherwise it would have been even faster but then again there were 2 vehicle in the car that R8 is still a beast in its own right especially when in the correct driving mode (Dynamic Mode)

@08turboSS it did 2.8 with a passenger in the car. And temps isn't the only factor slowing down a car. You have DA, humidity that also come into play, which are different on days theought the year. I've seen 992s on YT and in person stock. No way have I seen one do 6s 60-130 in our area. I've filmed 2 different ones, and a third I didn't film was neck and neck with a f82 that ran low 7s. So I know what I'm talking about.
