i sold my crossover to get the city hatch. i already have a 4x4 so i don't need two cars w/ high ground clearance. a lower car has better driving dynamics as well as better aerodynamics which leads to good fuel economy so it's a very good expressway car.

Some of Honda's recent offerings are priced way above their respective segment average. This is why even some Chinese brands have outsold Honda. Though overall quality and good aftersales have always been Honda's staple against other brands, the end point of selling lots of cars will be pointless if sales continue to slump due to their high prices.

Some buyers of the chinese brand already regret buying one after they experience the bad side of the customer service and lack of spare parts. If not honda, I will still pick other japan brand.

Great explanation on the actual value you get with owning small cars, not just the face value, which I think always gets overlooked by first time buyers (which end up buying chinese crossovers), its not always about the sticker price, cost of ownership does not end there

I get that honda sensing is a wonderful feature for honda cars. But the absence of a 360 cam and/or blind spot monitoring for a 1.2m price tag is such a miss tbh.

I just want to share that regulations in Japan require that car wheels should be tucked inside the wheel wells. It is a bummer for the aesthetics, but for functionality it makes all sense. So its up for the owners to modify the look to suit their tastes.

I think you are not a Honda car owner, and you can be forgiven for thinking it has poor build quality. In fact, it is quiet the exact opposite.

The paint, the materials used, craftmaship, the tactile feel of all the parts both interior and exterior, engine durability and reliability, as well as the small things that translate to over-all feel of the car, that is what we mean by BUILD QUALITY. On the other hand, NCAP rating focuses on passenger safety and survivability in case of accidents. In short, a high NCAP rating does not necessarily mean that the car has a good build quality. This also means that a car with good build quality will not necessarily get a high NCAP star rating. But for the sake of argument, I am pleased to tell you that the Honda City Hatchback 2024 has a 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating. So, I forgive you.

Global NCAP allows vehicles to achieve a 5-star safety rating even if they don't have safety assistance systems, while ASEAN NCAP requires vehicles to score at least 70% in safety assist technologies to achieve a 5-star rating. Go get youself educated. And again, I forgive you for not knowing these things.
