google support: "if you enabled forwarding in the Forwarding and POP/IMAP settings, all mail will be forwarded. It should be disabled if you only want the filtered messages to be forwarded."

@@davidadiwego4608 This step is the MOST IMPORTANT step to forwarding selective emails and not all your emails. I'm glad I saw your comment because even Gmail help does not have it in their guide for automatic forwarding.

Yes you can forward to multiple addresses. You just have to repeat the process for each address.

Unfortunately, this doesn't do what you say in your description, which is forwarding to "any email address". I want to auto forward receipts and invoices to an email address that cannot be accessed so cannot be verified.

Of course the email account you want to forward the emails to needs to verify first that this is ok. Otherwise you could spam any email account with forwarding emails. This is a necessary security feature. Why would the email address you forward emails to not be accessible?

The email account is a repository for invoices and receipts to reconcile my business credit card. It's not an inbox style account, therefore Gmail's limitations don't work in this instance.

Hi, I would put the email address you receive the statements from in the "from" section of the filter.

Yes, I thought that simply creating a forwarding filter for just one certain type of email wasn't going to override "forward a copy of (all) incoming mail".

In the filter you could try to add a minus sign in front of the email address ([e-mail]). That should forward all emails except the ones from that address. I hope that works.

Unfortunately it is not possible to remove the headline when auto forwarding. You can only do this manually.

Hi, yes the "delete Gmail's copy" option is connected to the forwarding email address that you set up. It does not matter if you are using a filter or not - if the option "delete Gmail's copy" is selected for a particular address it deletes all emails forwarded to that address.
