Awesome mate. I’m an Building Automation Engineer who works on the Innotech Omni Hardware - Ive been watching your videos for a little while now and Ive been thinking of setting up a small mushroom farm using the Innotech hardware. Great to see that it’s working well for you!

It's going well so far, although BACnet is giving me a headache.
@dbr28022 жыл бұрын
@@OakandSpore Yeah if you are using Focus lite it limits your ability to use the BACnet functionality. I imagine since you are using a single controller you wouldn’t need to use BACnet?

I need to connect my heat pump into the circuit, and I have a bacnet adapter to do it. Been trying too day today and just can't get icomm to see it. It's connected, just now showing up... pain in the ass!
@dbr28022 жыл бұрын
Maybe a clashing or incorrect IP address set up on either your PC or Heat-pump BACnet adapter? (I’m assuming you are using a Ethernet network?) Or perhaps you have two devices on the same network using the same device instance/address? (icomm itself also has a device instance)..

Fantastic video. Looks great. Well done. Allen Bradley does little Micro PLC's. You can buy input/output modules for all your sensors as well for a few hundred bucks and you can find heaps of programming info online. Might be a cheaper option for your audience if you have a different budget but would probably be a steeper learning curve finding out how to write the code. I am looking forward to see the interplay between fan speeds/CO2 levels and humidity when you have a full grow room. Cheers. Appreciate your vids.

i've tried using Pi's to automate. I had to learn some code wiring. It was a mistake and I would never use anything that requires even a small bit of coding. I as everything to basically be plug and play.

Whoa! You have taken it to another level. Thank you for taking time to document your work and answering queries. Really appreciate it. I had two questions: For the fresh humid air coming in from the ceiling. Are you planning to distribute it through the room using down piping? Like the set up in your earlier fruiting room. How are you placing your shelving racks? Along the walls or in the center? Really excited to see how this all comes together. Best for the rest of the project.
@OakandSpore2 жыл бұрын
1. No, it just moves in one end and out the other. 2. Shelving has wheels. Will do a YT about it shortly. 3. Thanks for the support!

Wow that's amazing man! great to see all your progress, wish i can get a setup this profesional one day but it's too expensive for me at the moment, i have to settle for an arduino uno, dht22 sensors, and relays and stuff. I'm in Argentina and it's getting really hot here was currently growing p.ostreatus but i have noticed a steady decrease in first flush yields and overall yields, inconsistent pinning or none at all in some bags, and i think the heat is the culprit but i'm not sure since it's my first time growing commercially in the summer, I am currently switching to p.pulmonarius because it supposedly handles heat much better, i know we probably don't have the same strain but how does yours do with the heat, what is the minimum temp it pins at?
@OakandSpore2 жыл бұрын
I like to have the heat over 18 during the day. It doesn't grow well below that. ideally around 20-22.
@CMZneu2 жыл бұрын
@@OakandSpore Ok but what is the maximum temperature pulmonarius will still form primordia? i imagine above 28C it just won't pin right?

Hey brah, thanks so much for doing these vids. I have a question. How did you initially set the price you sold at? did you go to super markets and see the price and assume 50% mark up? (ie selling whole sale at half price?. Also what about for famers markets and to chiefs, etc? Thank you once again, best of luck completing the expansion.
@OakandSpore2 жыл бұрын
honestly, i just looked at what others were selling for and priced it around that. you get a feel for what your customers will pay for your product.

Outstanding. Such a great descriptive video. This answered a lot of questions I had for trying to find an automated environment controller. I am very interested in this product now. Thanks man. I have a couple of questions if you have the time. 1. Is the Omni Focus software (Lite? Pro?) included with the unit purchase or is it a separate purchase, and if so, how much was that? 2. Does the unit have the ability to store multiple configurations and then have the ability to change to those configurations on the unit? Im looking to group species together for flushes that have similar environmental requirements and then stagger my flushes that have different environmental requirements. Really love your vids, It has been neat to see the evolution of your farm. Happy New year...I hope you have a really good year....
@OakandSpore2 жыл бұрын
You get a license for the software when you buy the unit. You wouldn't need to use different configurations, but you would build different logic for each species that feeds from the same inputs into the same outputs. For example, would have have a user defined input (digital switch) that when activated the circut would change logic to your second circut/setting. You could also set this change via the calender, so it would change over automatically at a certain time of the week/month etc. Don't think of it as using a new configuration, think of it as the configuration changing between set points, either automatically or user defined. Happy new year to you as well!

Thanks man. I really appreciate your input.

The perfect video ! Thanks you again ! Few question has pop in my head : Why use a negative pressure in your room ? i though we needed positive pressure to avoid pest entrance. Also, considering your innoteh system, why do you need the maximum entry point : 40 ? (inotech C40) ? Does less point can be as good as the C-40 ? do you have the price of it ? Thanks a lot for your work ! keep going !
@OakandSpore2 жыл бұрын
Positing pressure for a lab, negative pressure as it keeps all the spores contained, and they don't get blown out into your work area. If they did you would need to wear a respirator at all times. You can get small models which have 10 and 20 entry analog inputs.
@Stichomyties2 жыл бұрын
@@OakandSpore That seem logic now thanks ! Is you 40 model is for future fruiting chambers ? I hope for ! What is the price you paid for the C40 ?
@mushedits Жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t you want positive or neutral pressure in the room? Seems like negative pressure would pull air from cracks in your structure and introduce contaminated/particulates ???
@OakandSpore Жыл бұрын
fruiting rooms are not supposed to be free from contams. We clean our for hygiene. You don't want the spores blowing out and all through the workplace.
