I enjoyed to see this movie, thank you for loading up ! I drove this very way in Sept. 2007, when I traveled from Japan. What was so impressive was that when I asked the rent-a-car shop man, "Je peux luer ..ah... a car navigation machine ?", he told me, "Ah, non, tu n'en as besoin pas, parsque le rue a Mont-Trenblant est si simple pour meme toi a conduire la voiture." (Sorry, my French was too broken !), and he gave me a paper map ! He draw a line, and told me, "Vous-amusez !" Of course at first, I was so anxious if I would've crushed the car, but yes, as he told me, the road was so straight and comfortable much more than Japanese highways. It is 17yrs ago. I hope to be there again in September or October, where maple leaves are fully beautiful red.

Excellent video, the Autoroute 15 is a very high quality road indeed (it seems all of Canada's expressways are from what I've seen!) I loved the progressive transition from urban to rural the further one gets from Montreal.

Thanks for the comment. I think A-15 is one of the best freeways in Montreal.

Quebec Autoroute 15 is a main Autoroute of Quebec starting from the US border connecting I-87 which starts in NYC and ends there and after crossing the border, A-15 goes north through Montreal and ends on Quebec Route 117/Alternate of Trans Canada Highway.

Crazy how quickly the scenery changes driving out of Montreal. Looks like parts of A-15/117 could use some restriping too up north. Loving the scenery and tunes!

A lot of roads in Quebec need to be restriped -- that's a very common thing in Quebec. More than a few could do with a resurfacing too. Thanks for the comment.

Autoroute 15 is definitely one of the reasons why I love Quebec freeways. It's some resemblance of some nice freeways in Toronto like the 400. It's a very nice high quality road for a French part of Canada to be exact.

Love Tremblant, but the Décarie not so much. 😂 Such a great channel, Asphalt Planet. You always incorporate the right music with your hyperlapse driving videos.

A-15 is definitely a very important highway in Quebec & Montreal metropolitan area. My fav. Part here is between the intersection with A-640 & A-50. & my favorite song is the 2nd one. Reminds me a lot of Michael Cassette

Great video! Did you know almost all expressways in Japan even in Tokyo only has 2 to 3 lanes in each direction? For comparison, Highway 401 has 14 lanes in Toronto with local and express lanes. The reason why they have fewer lanes is because some urban area has network of elevated expressways to reduce traffic jams excluding rush hour and holiday, high toll cost, and reduce construction cost to build.

Japan also doesn’t have nearly the car culture that North America has

Alright so I'm in this big world wide project with 25'000 other players to rebuild the earth in the video game minecraft (Go look up Build The Earth Minecraft) So I'm currently building Autoroute 15 in the Canada Team server. And I've built as of October 1st 2021 from 2:25 to 9:20 I will be making a video of it soon when it'll be done (from montreal to mont tremblant) That's it

What is the reason for the large amount of garbage in the middle of the highway and around it in the first 10 minutes of the video?

Hello - not sure if you are still monitoring this page. I am planning on attending the Grand Prix race this year, and wanted to do a M/C ride to Mont Tremblant after that. Are there any recommendations for any roads other than autoRoute 15 to leave Montreal and go towards Mont Tremblant? Thanks Jan 2024

Looking at this video one thing all drivers should practice is safe distance driving not to be that close to each other it's extremely dangerous it doesn't matter if it's during the daytime or night time keep at least two car lengths back please think of the safety of the other drivers .

Are there plans to extend the A-15 further?
@AsphaltPlanet14 жыл бұрын
There are plans to extend the divided highway portion of Route 117 north from where it currently narrows down to two lanes, but there aren't any plans to extend the A-15 freeway north of its current terminus.

There are no plan to extend A15 north, though some bits of H117 have been upgraded to expressway standards due to traffic, like around Tremblant shown at the end of the video. Some newer parts of the highway around the towns of Labelle and Rivière-Rouge further north have been built to express way standards in recent years.
