Replacing headlight assembly for 2004 Volkswagen B5.5 Passat

Welcome back to the channel! Today we are getting rid of the old, yellowed headlight assemblies on our project Passat! Last video, I showed you the upgrade of the Lasfit LED H7 headlight bulbs, but the assemblies really needed replacing. I have tried to polish them, but the plastic itself had deteriorated, so I decided just to buy new ones. The ones I got were OEM look, and I paid about $120 on Amazon for the pair. You can buy them one at a time as well.

I am currently in the middle of doing that myself. I've got a 2004 VW Passat GL Wagon with FWD 1.8T 5-Speed Manual. Shadow Blue Metallic with black, grey, and anthracite interior. Pretty much the works without the sun roof. Heated leather seats and so on. I purchased a set of non black out Halo Projectors with the LED rings which go nicely with my LED bulbs. Great great ride that just wants to keep running. Thanks for the vid. Be joining with my VW Club at VolksFest in WI this year. Doing my best to get it up to par. Not many on the road these days.

Unfortunately most carmakers do this now, and sometimes you have to do this just to change the bulb. Good luck with your repairs!
