bro this car is heavily modified. You could easily get 1500hp+ out of the newer ones. Just look it up there's tons of American ones. The reason they can't do it here in Europe is because of the stricter regulations. This thing is still fast stock but nowhere near THIS fast.

This is a supercar. It's not like an Audi A3, where the exhaust gas return will clog up and fail eventually or VW Golf where you get capacitive touch buttons, that only work half the time, instead of regular buttons. Cars like the 911 S/T prove that they in fact still make them like they used to. At least sometimes. I don't think planned obscolescence is a thing yet in the price class of an Audi R8.

Have you ever thought that they just added 400 more horsepower to make it this beast? The original R8 already comes with 600 horsepower, and I believe it is the supercar with the best cost-benefit ratio for breaking speed records. That’s why in half-mile races, the top of the list is full of R8 and Huracans.

I'm glad that I was born at a time where Twin Turbo Audi R8s and Huracans are a thing. They handle the extra power well and in case of the Audi, it's almost like it was meant to be turboed all along. Kinda like the legendary turbo inline 5 engines, times 2.
