Porsche has brand cache and superior engineering that you can trust. An Audi is so mundane and characterless, except for the R8, and even that is the least interesting supercar. This could be any performance SUV, so it needs to stand out, which it doesn't.

Because if you look at the number plate, it has a European plate with a "D" that means it's from Deutschland which is Germany, and Germany cars are LHD

Good build quality, clean design, and not intrusive tech. I think the "safer" route Audi is taking with this and the new Q8 e-tron models will pay off. Great review as always, Rory!

@@paulklp8262 Not really, they make some of the least efficient around and worse still are now fitting larger and larger batteries to compensate which makes them even less efficient. Design wise they are great but their EV technology is poor at present.

For a trained eye, they improved everything what had to be improved in SQ8 except the fact it should always be black packed.

I think they should let the customers choose. Aluminium, Black, or bodycolour. On the rs3 its only available in black, wich i think can be a bit boring, or too much black. If there was the Option to get it in Alu or bodycolour, it would be much more customizeable, yet relatively simple.

SQ8/RS Q8 should come standard with the black optic package. We have a RS Q8 in our showroom without the black optic and it has been sitting for months. The same issue with our none black optic SQ8, it has been soaking up some florida sunshine for months.

Ι stronlgy believe that out of all the sporty suvs, the q8 is best designed inside and out. Also its sporty enough to be enjoyble and confisence inspiring, without sucrifacing comfort on every level which in my opinion, thats what a luxury sporty suv should be all about. I dont need crazy performance and handling from my suv. What i also dont need, is a massive tv on my dash. Thank you audi for keeping it simple. bmw, take notes. What i do need, is take it offfroad, and audi suvs with the proper quattro(torsen plus lsd rear) are suprisingly good at it, as long as you put the right tyres. Thats why i belive the q8 and sq8 are probably the best option out there in that segment. I just wish that the sq8 was still a 4.0 tdi.

I actually appreciate Audi’s delay in technology advancement. They take their time and update when the time is right, I think in 10 years time the current Mercedes and BMW’s of the world are going to feel incredibly outdated and old when compared to the system Audi is using, its elegant, simple and damn easy to use
