I think it’s great. Keep in mind most people that own these cars have several other cars, including super cars to fill the need for drama and brutal acceleration. No one buys a flying Spur to throw it into the corners. For daily use and or long highway drives, it’s perfect. It’s refined, particularly if you get it in the Azure spec, and offers greater range than the V8 or W12. Not everyone wants a thumping big engine all the time for every application. I think for the intended audience, it will be a hit and it smooths the transition of the general customer base to electrification.

Let's get real, most people have one car & struggle to go up the food chain. Then you have the people that have 2 cars, the tool & the toy! The earner & the burner, one that smokes tyres & vaporises petrol. Then other that's the roll foil to the Good ladies SUV. A 1 ton pick up or an all fishing tackle consuming sports estate that scrubs up to be the weekday work horse/commuter. Bottom line, why have one fuel while you can still have two? Both in one vehicle or one of each? It's a bit like watch F1 or going to a formula E race. In essence it's the same. But with Formula E the sound, smell & atmosphere are noticeable, by their absence!

I've always thought the Flying Spur was meant to be a drivers car as well. The Mulsanne was designed to be the car you get driven in and the Flying Spur was a bit of both.

Great point about new noises being heard due to no ICE. Reminds me of the issues felt by pubs when the smoking ban came into place; smoke used to mask other unwanted odours such as toilets, cleaning products and Guinness farts!

The battery does 20 miles at most. Why remove the V8 for as you said replace it with a toyota engine? Imagine how fire it would have been V8 + elec. yes would have been heavy but WC?

The V6 Hybrid drive train is clearly lifted from the Panamera product line and explains this early entrant from Bentley to come on the market. The price is a disincentive perhaps so look forward to see what comes next. For now I will stick with my immensely capable W12... tks

I love the Flying Spur, it just looks so exquisite and oh so special. And in that colour with those wheels, more so. And the concept of a hybrid Bentley is fine too. It’s just trying to accept that this one has a V6 😆. But it’s what hybrids are about, small capacity ICEs.

I actually liked the roar of the car engine that's what attracted cause I liked a car which can change depending on my mood when I want to relax or when i have the energy and excitement me the most but at least they kept some aesthetics such as design when most cars get electrified I'm gonna miss the roar that used to turn heads the boldness and how it makes quite a statement

I would rather see Bentley do for their line what BMW did for the X series with the iX. Fulll electric Luxury soaked in so much technology that no one (with the money) would hesitate to buy it. Instead of blinds, 3 layers of electrochromic film on the windows and sunroof. Natural voice commands for a virtual buttler in the cabin. 150kwh battery with 300kwh charger. And some sort of Rick-Sanchez-Design device to counterbalance the gravity field that the car would generate. And 1000 horsepowers split in 4 motors... just for the fun.

I think Rolls Royce made the right decision announcing they will go from pure ICE to full EV without a hybrid. As impressive as this PHEV Bentley is, something just doesn't sit right with it being a V6. That being said, can't wait for the full EV Bentleys to come out soon!

Love this car downside is the price!!! It is the cost of a rough flat on the outskirts of London. I like that it looks like a car and you would not mistake it for anything but a Bentley. Think of a BMW i3 without the BMW badge would you think that’s a BMW. Hopefully the Bentley will be a big hit on the secondhand market. I would expect it to plummet in price like previous Bentley spurs. Those battery packs to replace will be outrageously expensive when it comes time to replace them and this should add to the depreciation… will watch this car closely as maybe a car to consider in 2030

Drivetrain is "adequate" for a Flying Spur but for a Continental....Also, that battery is painfully small, 25miles? The overall performance must decay quite fast, not sure if the V6 is enough to push all that weight in a "Bentley" way. But then again, it is a Flying Spur

I never had a Bentley. I don't think I'll ever have the money. But if i did, don't get me wrong: the tech is awesome.
