as a person who loves to travel and has travelled a lot with my son at various ages, it can be so disheartening when people are rude on planes. BUT I will say these things get easier as we grow as moms, it used to bother me sooo much. Now I have adopted the idea that children deserve to take up space in public places and have just as much of a right to be there. It's also so important for our kids to travel and learn I have found trips with my son are such fond memories and now that he's a bit older he LOVES to talk about our plane/train rides. It really is such an enriching experience to be able to give our kids

I agree with this wholeheartedly! I’m a mama to two girls, a 3 year old and a 6 month old, my three year old has been on lots of airplanes, my parents live two states away, but we are about to make a trip down for the first time with my second daughter. Children should be so welcome in all public spaces. It’s how they learn. They can’t be well behaved and know what to do in these spaces if they don’t get to experience them too!

Just want to point out that there are some good vibes being sent to parents. My husband and I don’t have kids but on planes I try to empathize with parents. It’s so hard to travel alone let alone with other tiny humans! So even if I might not sit near a parent and smile I do think yall are superheroes!

I was just thinking in your last two videos how slow and how present you show up in your days making me wish I could do that more. Then I got to this video and to hear you say you wish you could slow down and your minds going a mile a minute and you don’t have to get your checklist ticked off everyday! So refreshing to hear. People are absolutely entitled to choose a child-free life, but certainly are not entitled to a child-free world! It’s such a bummer when you encounter people who are so negative about kids, so I’m so sorry you had to experience that! I feel like airplanes kind of exacerbate the situation because you’re all stuck together in a tight space. It’s funny to me though how some people seem to forget to that they too were once babies who needed lots of movement and were probably not silent 😂

I’m so sorry you experienced someone on the plane like that. I don’t currently have kids and I don’t know if I ever will, but I always make an effort to be super kind to parents traveling with children. I know if I’m ever in the position I would want people to be kind and understanding towards me and I love babies and kids. They make the flight so much more fun in my opinion haha 🤍

Triple A has been a god send for me! Especially since the service is included with the membership fee, it makes for less of a headache and therefore I can tip well for their wonderful service in a time of need. Also I relate so much to planning a million things into one day, that’s your inner New Yorker still there. I always do this in order to be as grind focused as possible, and to have other days to just rest and chill as we just kinda have to in NY to survive and thrive.

We love using Home Depot shades, that can be darkening . They make a HUGE difference. We ended up buying for every bedroom. Also, can have bottom up, top down, lots of options for how much light you want to let in during the day. Then for the kids rooms we got blackout curtains to cover the edges of the widows since a small amount gets around the shade which is mounted in the window. We found some sets at Walmart in the store. Or ordered online from target, just read the description and verify they’re true blackout!!!

Oh Michelle, you have made me feel so much more normal with this video!! I have left my phone on the counter in a store and my keys in a trolley in the last week alone. New mum life is crazy and I totally agree that it's because you're trying to pack so much in and remember so much that your brain just let's you forget these little (actually very important) items like keys and a phone. For a temporary blackout curtain solution, you can spray the window with water and put tinfoil over it. It sticks right on. The window will always be blocked, but it works! Lol
