Sourdough Sandwich Loaf:

Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies:
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1/2 cup sourdough starter
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt (plus flaky salt for sprinkling)
2 cups chocolate chips
Cream butter and sugars in a large bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients (Except chocolate chips). Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips, then let rest in refrigerator overnight. The next day, let sit at room temp for 30 minutes, before dropping rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. I later tried sprinkling the cookies with flaky salt and they were AMAZING so I highly recommend adding that little step 😉 Bake at 350 for 8-10 mins or until lightly golden.

I'm due with my second any day now, and I'm planning to try the reckless blood tonic you recommended... Since I don't see it recommended literally anywhere else for during labor, I just want to confirm that it's a 1/2 tsp at the beginning of labor, and a 1/2 tsp right before or after giving birth. Do you guys worry about any of the common cow diseases (BLV and Johnes and then Staph A mastitis since it likes to hide between flares) that have been potentially linked to issues in people? We only have 3 dairy cows so I do a lot of testing for these since if it pops up, all of our milk would essentially have high levels but I've always wondered how people with a larger style dairy farm approach it....especially ones who drink their milk raw. It always surprises me how many commercial dairy farmers actually buy their milk at the store!
