Last year, Christmas was so special because we had our little daughter- she was 9 months old. This year I'm SUPER excited, because she'll be 21 months old💕🎄♥️🥰 We used to make paper chains every time my dad went away on long trips. He was in the Air force. We would break a loop every day to count down the days until he'd be back home.

Fun idea for advent calendar: pretend snowball fight!! Pretend snowballs are easy to save and use each year. It’s so fun!! We also love making a gingerbread house, using shaving cream as “snow” for sensory play, and of course making cookies!

My parents have always had a tradition since my sister and I were little and up to now they keep.. that on Christmas eve when the clock strikes 12 midnight we all go outside and bring a figurine of baby Jesus to where she puts a Nativity scene stable with Joseph and Mary and we lay baby Jesus in between them and we sing together. I love it, and hope to keep the tradition alive for my kids one day.
