Autumn drawing. Experimenting with Layers in Krita.

whooaaaaaaa... "clipping groups"? "Mask layers"? This is above my comprehension.... One technique I like to do is duplicate a solid fill layer, make it all white, set it to "Decrease Lightness", and then paint on it with a light grey brush to do textured shadows on the color layer beneath

Yeah, to be honest it seems it's above mine too. I think I should have separate layer for each ingredient. For now I was trying to keep texture and color on same layer and only split shadows, might give it a try splitting textures next? But I kinda feel like textures should be on the same level as default filling color.
