Love the tune and your playing, your instrument sounds amazing as well. I’m 45 and been a musician all my life, guitar and bass. I’ve always had a thing for the saxophone I’ve just never crossed the line from thinking about it to doing it, unsure what it is but I’ve been drawn to the instrument and now the draw is strong so I’m thinking I want to get one and learn finally. The Reference 54 by Selmer is what I want, it’s my dream tenor sax…one day…until then I’ll start with something u til I lay my hands on o e of these beauties. Btw…it’s weird but my interest with the sax began early on with an odd origin, Zoot from the Muppets. Ikr? But in my long years I’ve discovered Coletrain, George Coleman, thelonious monk, miles Davis. I’m more the low key dark Smokey longe jazz type, songs like this get me…mostly laid back and contemplative and meandering style.

A very stable core sound, and very fine overall lushness. (I like the sound of this Selmer.) Your playing has enough variations to make this song beautiful; pity you did not have a real band behind you.

Really lovely playing, Andrew. Do you use a Ref 54 tenor exclusively now? You sound great on it.

Nice tone, try and learn your changes and it will enable to get away from pentatonics and give some depth to your improvisations. It will make a hige difference. Keep it up and good luck.
