I hope you have a lovely weekend Peter. I just wanted to say thank you for your channel, videos and work. Not only did it get me into Bonsai and i have started to shape and care for some small trees myself. It also helped me a lot to relax, calm down and make it through the last few months and working /being stuck from home. You are a gift to this world and I hope we get many more years of content from you. Hope next year I manage to visit and do a course at your nursery.

My goodness, I've never seen a Chinese elm turn colors like that. I have 2, have had them for about 5 years, and they will occasionally have a few leaves turn yellow before dropping off, but it will usually just brown down all the leaves and eventually just fall off as it goes dormant....Amazing! My Tridents are GORGEOUS right now.

I wish I lived close enough to visit. I'm in the NW of England, my Chinese Elms are not showing any sign of leaf drop, and some maples have Autumn colour, leaf drop and bud burst on the same branch. The weather is going nuts and confusing the trees quite successfully. Thanks Peter.

Have you ever worked with blueberryes or lingonberryes? seeing as they are small leaved and small plants they should be suitable for bonsai, or are they difficult?

My opinion may not be conventional but too large a trunk does not look good to me.
