First 😂... A yard video 👍👍 thank you. ... Lol the only time you can confidently leave the stable door open is at feeding time. I like that you always make sure they've got enough hay, we do the same it's definitely a must to avoid colic ,,, I see you leave beds up to allow drying of the floor,, I mentioned rubber matting which you said you'd love but it's costly , we saved a lot of money as we got ours from a carpet , lino warehouse we had to cut it to size it's definitely a good buy and there's many warehouses , check on line for your nearest if interested. Did you find out what those little bumps were on Willow and did you manage to find any ( straight barley) for him ? Lidl do the small size bags we got a few which is better than nothing,, as you said it's very hard to get hold of ,, there's a hunting yard over the hill am going to find out if they use it and where from , will let you know if it's available. Donut looks absolutely a picture of health, his coat is amazing for this time of year , looks like he's filling out as well. That's the thing with youngsters they forget and regress if their routine changes, but as you say you're in no hurry and he'll come back and pick up again. Look forward to your QnA episode 😂 till next time 👍 and thankyou..

Excellent yard vlog, Karen. I loved watching you train Donut to stand at the mounting block. He's such a sweetheart and he was so responsive to you. I love all your gorgeous horses. It's such hard work with horses especially in the winter with all the mud! Is Pip young too? 🐎❤️

You describing gamblers stable made me laugh! My horse does the exact same thing, poo.. layer of shavings on top… poo… another layer of shavings! Can just imagine them shovelling with their back legs like cats in a litter tray all night 😭😂 x
@KarenBadrick1Ай бұрын
Haha 😂 I’m sure he has so much fun hiding each poo 😂 and making it more difficult for me 🤣

a tip i used with my horse standing at the block was teaching them to come to you! get their hindquarters to spin over while you stand on the block, also looks super cool and everyone is always impressed !xx
@KarenBadrick1Ай бұрын
Haha yes always looks good when they do this, He will be taught to come to me once I’ve reminded him where he should be x

Hi karen, have you seen Steve Young. He is great to watch with the mounting block, and you won't have to get up and down when doughnut moves. I love your channel and watch all your vlogs. 😊❤

Really enjoyed watching as always. Can I ask why do stallions poo in one place I had a friend that had a stallion and even in his field he would poo in one place made poo picking his field so easy lol.All horses are looking great going into winter 👍🏻👍🏻
@KarenBadrick1Ай бұрын
Thank you Stallions poo in one place, on top of other poo’s so in the wild it would let anyone know this was his patch, This is something that most stallions still do to this day, yes it makes cleaning the stable and fields so much easier 😂

Hi I just wondered HOW long it takes you to muck out . As when I was a groom we USD to try and do each one in 20min . And there where about 6 stables . Take care and all the best . 😊😊😊👍👍👍💟💖
@KarenBadrick1Ай бұрын
Hiya Yes it doesn’t take long to do each stable, I do all the haynets and waters first so the actual mucking out only takes about 10 mins xx
