Makes me so happy to see vlogs from the Southern Hemisphere right now, love autumn and the darker color that this video has

I cannot, for the life of me, explain how outrageously happy it makes me that someone so eloquent also says "I'm shit at reading maps", I just LOVE IT! :3

Love seeing your autumnal videos! 🍂 It’s the start of summer in California and I strongly dislike 103* F heat. 🥵

Hello, I never comment on videos. But this morning I woke up from a bad dream, went to KZbin to find something calm, and your vlog was the first thing that came up. So thank you 😊

When I went to an orientation day camp when I was in my early-teens, we were actually taught to turn to the map so that it's always facing in the direction we're walking. I'm thirty-four and I still do that: it makes everything way easier.

Autumnal, witchy, magical, cozy vibes. So very Christy 🍄🍁🪴 but let's be honest, you could make a 20 minute vlog, or write a 20 page essay, on an old pair of shoes and I would adore it. Thanks for the wonderful content! Times are hard. This is a breath of fresh air. We love to see a happy, healthy Christy. And yes, we can tell you're having the time of your life and I desperately wish I was there with you to experience it!

Oh gosh I love your videos christy, I love country houses/manor houses so much, my very favourite thing, I thought I couldn’t find any here in Australia but now you’ve shown me one in Adelaide, my favourite city in oz. I love all your mythic/fairy tale like book recommendations too - that’s all I like [I recommend Jackie Morris’s books for that]. I love your writing videos and the bookshop bits too. Adore it all. Just really loving your videos today.

That property was so gorgeous it made me unbelievably happy! If I ever visit Adelaide, it will be on my list. Your city is so beautiful and the way you capture it is a work of art. Fall is my favourite time of the year even though I live in the Caribbean where you can barely see it.

I know what you mean by the Carrick House being beautifully haunted. Before google maps (before mapquest), I would use spiral-bound paper maps to study routes when I would go to a new place around my city or if I wanted to know where a major road intersected with another... I also turned the map around so I could go "okay, so if that shopping center is on my right," or "now, that intersection is up here.." haha. Thank you for sharing your day with us. We love seeing you have fun whatever you're doing.

Oh my god! Thanks for sharing this! I'm so in love with this day in your life, the places you visited, and the food you ate!!!! I now so want to go to that house and visit the children's story book trail, even if I'm not age adequate :D I also want that orange cake and the sausage roll. Thanks for sharing!

Hi! I loved this video! autumnal views are always my favourite. Is Stirling a neighbourhood in Adelaide? or another town nearby? When you were in Carrick Hill I sort of chuckled to myself. Even though my reading interests are quite different from yours, I always enjoy your vlogs tremendously, especially the ones out and about, because I do share your love for going to bookshops, having coffee, apreciating the autumnal trees, and I hardly ever feel the age gap (I turn 42 this year)... until you said 'imagine sitting here, writing letters, not having access to the internet' and I thought: 'I don't have to imagine it, I can actually REMEMBER it!' xD I lived my first 19 years without internet, it didn't exist! But it's ok (I repeat to myself again and again :P). It's actually funny. xx

If you like magical 1920s/1930s, you should check out Genevieve Valentine. Her book "The Girls at The Kingfisher Club" is excellent and many of her short stories are written within that time period with the fairytale elements.
