Oh man I got sooo much out of it! That song I wrote “what you did” was created because of this course! So much more comfortable with songwriting and vocal production now! Lol

how to use your voice as an instrument? Thats called beatboxing...

Kimbra really showed me that you can create whole instrumental ideas with your voice! The last song I created “what you did” is a great example! When I was writing it, I started with a vocal chop, and then as I kept developing it, I replaced the vocal chop with guitars. I’m really happy with how it came out 😁 Thanks for watching!

Kimbra has done a lot of live looping to set up intros for solo demonstrations. It does involve beatboxing but also wordless vocal harmonizations. Like lounge jazz scatting updated for modern technology. She can carry multiple verses on her own, even when there's a backing band onhand.
