Appreciate the feedback! And best of luck, I'd say that the hardest part is soldering the wires carefully so they don't bridge or short-circuit. But it's a worthwhile and cool mod! Looks like the music I was playing was from Perturbator. The song was "The Church". It's synthwave, been listening to a lot of that recently 😄

Yes, the electronic contacts are small and very near each other, that will be the most difficult part but it worths it 😌. Thank you for the song info, it sounds cool, I will be listening to a lot too for sure 😅

Is this a infinity unit ? Mine is from a 1996 dodge van but without the cd player. Do you think this mod would work the same for me ?

I don't think this is an Infinity headunit, it doesn't have the Infinity logo I've seen on some others, and the sticker/part number shows it to be a Mitsubishi headunit. I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure if this mod works for yours... although if you are confident with taking the radio apart, I would say you can take it apart to see if it is similar on the inside. I'd still see if you can find more information on such a mod for your particular stereo, perhaps on a Facebook group or Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep forum. I've seen similar mods to this that had been done on much older XJ stock stereos, so it's likely yours can be modded like this. Best of luck!
