Why is she laid up in Low Readiness when the Royal Navy is already severely short on fleet auxiliary vessels?

@@standrewpics This ship will not be de-commissioned it is being put into Extended Readiness after a maintenance period. Like Albion and Bulwark have been in alternated periods of Extended Readiness but remained in Commission.
@Autofleet44292 жыл бұрын
@@1chish True True, but if we are being technical here are RFA vessels even "Commissioned" and not just "Placed into Service". Either way the chances of Knight being returned to service will be slim even less likely for Ruler as she has had components taken off her for keep Knight going longer, they said the same thing when they put Invincible in reserve and both the Fort-I class ships were also placed into "Extended-Readiness" too.

Why on earth are we laying ships up we should be getting them ready for work we are already short on ships God knows if there was another war and that might not be far away we need all we can get and for them to be ready to go not be short sighted like they always are penny pinching Rely on the USA to help let's get real here and build a proper fighting force

Hope to see some go to Ukraine with some beautiful UK made weaponry. We need to keep standing up to Russia. Hope to see you guys get nuclear aircraft carriers in the future to free up support ships for events like we have now, since nuclear carriers can refuel and feed the entire CSG. These would be great to send in mass with military and humanitarian aid. Slava Ukraine
@1chish2 жыл бұрын
Why oh why do you keep banging on on every Royal Navy video about bloody nuclear carriers ffs? THE UK DOES NOT WANT OR NEED NUCLEAR CARRIERS! And its total bollocks to say the nuclear carrier can refuel the CSG. It MAY carry emergency fuel but every US CSG has an oiler for the rest of the flotilla. And by the way carriers are not allowed past the Bosporus and nuclear subs have to be based in the Black Sea. So maybe read up on some facts before sharing your flights of fancy.

^ This person is an idiot/troll best to block/mute and ignore them. They follow me around raging like a child since they have a different opinion then me, but need to lie to make their opinion feel verified. Sources: "The ships normally carries enough food and supplies to operate for 90 days. Four distilling units enable NIMITZ-class engineers to make over 400,000 gallons of fresh water from seawater a day, for use by the propulsion plants, catapults and crew. The ship carries approximately 3 million gallons of fuel for her aircraft and escorts, and enough weapons and stores for extended operations without replenishment." "And by the way carriers are not allowed past the Bosporus and nuclear subs have to be based in the Black Sea. So maybe read up on some facts before sharing your flights of fancy." The troll goes on to act like the US would send a carrier into the Black Sea to be a huge target, instead of launching of the Aegean, North sea, Baltic sea, I guess we just have to walk into the Black sea. "So maybe read up on some facts before sharing your flights of fancy." The irony is astounding, like I said above to anyone reading this, block this idiot. They literally have no idea what they are talking about and don't even know nuclear carriers can refuel the CSG can carry 3 freaking million gallons.
