I'll preface by saying the LED bulbs shown actually look like they are designed better than any I've seen before, but I can't tell if they actually are designed around the flaw most LED replacement bulbs have. I would be wary of any LED headlight bulb that does not come with an entire new housing/reflector. The reflectors are designed for a single point of light that is produced in an exact, known, location within the housing. Any light source that is not exactly where it is supposed to be in that housing is going to cause the reflector not to point light where it should. This causes two major issues. The first is that while the lights look bright, they cast light all about instead of focusing it on the road ahead where they should giving you less visibility where you actually need it. The second is that that light bouncing about at incorrect angles off the reflector is going to blind oncoming and cars in front of you. Don't be the asshole with bright lights blinding people in front of you.

I find that in this truck, the beam is very much the same as regular halogen bulbs. Notably brighter on both high and low beam. I do know what you are referring to. Some LED bulbs just scatter light.
