The AV-8B Harrier II is a subsonic single-engine aircraft that constitutes the second generation of the Harrier Jump Jet family. Capable of vertical or short takeoff and landing (V/STOL).
The aircraft was designed in the late 1970s. The AV-8B entered service with the United States Marine Corps in January 1985. Currently the USMC AV-8Bs are being replaced by the F-35B Lightning II, with the former expected to operate its Harriers until 2025.

The loudest jet ever. I lived in Yuma and those damn things would drown out any noise within a mile lol Also at 2:54 this guy is thankful he didn't need to eject lol. I knew a harrier pilot and he said he prayed before every take off and landing as he did not know if it was going to be successful

Harrier had it's time. The F-35 isn't useless and will replace the aging bird. Hey maybe the Harrier will still be able to serve in national gaurd units or as back off. It's still useful

The f-35b, is able to save a lot of fuel because, it's able to learn quickly on the adverse weather conditions, the Hario is the most difficult aircraft to fly oh, you need a Thang 20 hours Flight Training to fly this thing because at night in adverse weather conditions and the way you control and use the thrusters if you make one mistake you will crash
