Drouin passing up that slot shot just summed up the way the Avs are playing right now............attempt to look pretty rather than gritty. That loss fucking hurt!!!

Great show guys... I could not agree more. I think its lack of execution not necessarily effort. But it goes back to that old saying, you cant win the lottery if you dont buy a ticket. Well if you dont shoot the puck your not gonna score. Funny how that works... Im just sad that Mackinnon goal didnt spark more if a fire.
@foster_15yt9617 сағат бұрын
This Avalanche team does not have a fire lit up their behind like years past. They almost seem to want to cruise their way into the playoffs. The problem is they don't have a division slot and I think they're extremely content with being in the WIld Card. WHICH would be the WORST thing that could possibly happen. Also does anyone else think that on the PP they are extremely slow with decision making and hold onto the puck far too long?

We make to many excuses for the Avs. Love them, but with all the talent this team has on the ice now, even minus the injuries. We have enough talent to win. The challenge is talent doesn’t get a win. You have to play with effort, grit, passion and determination. This team now doesn’t have championship DNA. The first line gets hammered in their d zone and are horrible at FO’s.

@@kf8478Like half the team is still here from the Cup run. Just saying
@kf84789 сағат бұрын
@@soulknife20, that is true but they are playing like that and haven’t since the cup. That team made it tough to get out of the others team zone, limited shots, played gritty and tough. This team doesn’t have the same chemistry. I hope they can find it but so far not even close

@kf8478 It's the injuries. They haven't had consistent lines all season. The cup team did.

How is it possible that one team can be SO terrible at the PP for this long? How?

And then they have to lose against that team ahead of them in the division 🫣🫣🫣🫣😔😳

What's frustrating is this teams habit of playing so much better in front of their backup and them expecting the starter to steal games
@matambale8 сағат бұрын
Usually the #1 cause of inconsistency in play is having too many rookies and not enough veterans. This is just weird.
@Jul152274 сағат бұрын
The team is not receiving the message. They have so much potential if all lines go at once. Avs system is too predictable, bednars gotta change something. Our pp is beyond bad.

For those of you who don't know any better, wearing a C doesn't make one a Captain. Leading by example, keeping egos in check and directing talent in a certain direction, is what makes a leader. Your best player shouldn't be captain.
@alu.3049 сағат бұрын
At this point, and shown last Season, the guy that should be wearing the C is Toews!!

@@alu.304I fully agree.

If Avs could focus on two things. It's Faceoffs and Power play. Honestly face-offs alone would help the power play so much.
@alu.3049 сағат бұрын
Yet they win 80% of Faceoffs with the Goalie pulled🤷♂️🤦♂️

It was a pretty boring game ro watch for most of it. It felt like they were playing flat from pretty much the get-go with just small bursts. I got very frustrated with them in the 3rd and had to turn it off. With our pattern of winning every other game, I prepared myself that they would lose and couldn't bear to watch. As far as the power play, to me, its like the definition of insanity....(doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result). Its useless I have to continue using the same model and just expecting it to work.

god blacky playing out of his mind yet again and the rest of the team took the day off :( ,blackys blocker side strength is insane , im a goalie lol and i wish mine was half that good ,being able to push over that strong to that side is other worldy ,30 years as a goalie and it still feels akward . but yea rest of the team needs to start showing up and jesus do somthing on the pp , drouin like dude shoot it

Chris's idea of Crosby joining the Avs seems more appealing to me now. We need more leadership on this team! And, it pains me to say, coaching improvement (e.g. in PP) would be very welcome.

Av's are 1 and 1 vs. Wild when they don't have Kaprizov or Brodin. Thats not very good imo. Wild defense was a wet blanket over the avs offense for the entire game = outcoached.
