I don't know if you realize it, but this is the original spirit the Avali were created with in mind: a relatively seriously worldbuilt race serving as a Socratic experiment of sorts. The majority of Avali fans before they became popular on VRChat were nerdy lore-hounds who liked this concept in a feathery package. Ryuu, the creator, doesn't interact with the VRC users, but rather these quieter circles that (maybe?) still exist.

@@aiacfrosti1772 I havent heard about avali since 2017 and only got into starbound because of them, I was shocked to see such a big avali community in VRchat. I'm glad there's still lore nerds who appreciate these fluffy little guys though hahah

Lol don’t worry we totally still exist. Our communities tend to be smaller than the ones that focus on “uwu” stuff but they’re there. The Avali Triage discord server is one place that type likes to gather, for one example-that being the community for the Starbound Avali mod. Just sort of turned into that lol.

Yo, IMO, you don’t gotta be a furry to think the Avali are cool. Keep makin’ these. You’re like the only content creator who makes Avali content that’s not in the “uwu”-isphere. And you animate them seriously. Nobody else does that. There’s a side to the fandom that loves them for the sci-fi side of things rather than the furry, and we aren’t often catered to. You keep these coming and you’ll blow up.

i love there sci-fi side of things ever since i played star bound and read there lore and was more curious about there economy, military, and weaponry as well as there communication types.

After a year of learning more about the avali, I'll retract my previous comment with this new one. Most of what was shown before the bonus footage is lore accurate. Despite what most of the community shows, the avali as a concept is supposed to be more sci-fi and more serious. It was never meant to be all "uwu cutie birdie" or whatever you wanna call it. This animation, or rather the beginning footage, has actually inspired me to wanna make a similar animation. Avali soldiers being dropped off via dropship onto a planet, but with a bit more to it. Gonna start working on it in a few days.

they don't have shields or artificial gravity, probably wouldn't use such a big ship or ropes to deploy troops, not to mention with the beam being that slow it probably would have been dodged

@@proxy1359 Probably since Avali go for small, extemely maneuverable ships. It would've been much smaller, probably would've had some drones too to scout and help defend the ship. Likely could've dodged it since their ships are very very maneuverable. There should've been more than two Avali on the bridge since they have their packs.

That's... That's so underrated. Like, criminal levels of underrated. It's incredibly well made, smooth, lore-accurate and really makes Tha Avali shine as a race along with their concept. Really puts the species into the context they were meant to be in... I seriously hope you get more recognition even though I know that not everyone is familiar with the actual lore and concept of the Avali species

The chirping was a surprise. I don't see that too often in avali adaptations. I must say, it's warming to see a species you like brought into animation. I know you aren't a furry, but would be nice to see more of the avali in your style of animation. Cause you did a really, really good job.

I cannot bring myself to take these little guys seriously when they’re constantly purring and making little chirp noises. I know their lore is fairly serious, but, man Avali’s are one of those things. It’s like a second protogen situation, too adorable to have dark lore, yet there it is, dark lore. I’m not against it, I love this kinda stuff, but no matter how many high tech weapons an Avali has with them, it’s fair petting game.
