The relationship between Ronal and Neytiri were tense, since both have strong and similar characters. Exasperated that her sons have "demon" blood and her skeptical attitude towards Jake, Neytiri began listing Ronal's merits with obvious superiority. Over time, however, both found a thread of understanding, derived mainly from the common title of Tsahìk (Neytiri would inherit it in the future). Neytiri convinced Ronal, to help Kiri, and even aggressively chased away the scientists so Ronal could perform his ritual. After Roa's death, Neytiri felt sincerely sorry for her.

You can tell she pulls that out all the time when ever anyone even tries to insult her husband. Like "oh yeah? He's a demon? Neytiri and Ronal both have good points. Neytiri mentions how Jake is Toruk Makto, the highest title of rank and a symbol of courage, leadership and protector of the people where he did land a great blow to the invaders. But Ronal also made a good point that despite their last victory, the return of the humans, chasing the Sullys off, forcing them to "hide amongst strangers" does not feel like a victory at all.
