I actually like the fact that it's characterless, it doesn't need a specific character in it since you're more or less showing off the raw beauty of the act of animating something. The movements are so crisp and well realized, I like that you captured the fracturing as well, where the rocks are hit and they have pieces splinter off. Great Job. I sub to see if you do ever create your own characters for it (since that would be cool of course!) and other work. :)

This, and the fact that each martial art fit perfectly with its element including the lore in which the bending came from, and then having Toph use her own martial art to complement her unique and *absurdly* powerful style given her blindness.

@@JonathanCruz-rj2ys I think Avatar will always be in a realm of it's own atop all other tier lists in terms of being the best show ever; however, something else I found that is really insanely good in its own unique way is an anime called Made in Abyss. Some of it gets kinda dark later on, but it is really really cool and the world it creates is unique and amazing. There are few stories in existence that can create a mystical world that draws you in and fascinates you as it is revealed, Made in Abyss does this exceptionally well and is the only other show I've found that I'd put in a tier alongside/comparable to Avatar, albeit for different reasons.

A lot of those moves are based on moves we've seen in the shows. For example the lightning is based on when Azula is firing at Zuko/Katara, the water circle shooting icicles is based on Kya vs Zaheer, the last airbending move is based on one of Zaheer's moves.

since a lot of people haven't seemed to remember or watched the show. i initally put this as a reply to another comment however, after reading through people saying "electric is NOT FIRE!!", i decided to post it as an actual comment. spoilers: bloodbending - a sub-bending by bloodbenders who take control of another persons body. only three bloodbenders have been able to do this without a full moon. hama was the very first bloodbender, who bloodbended rats to help train her to bloodbend the fire nation soliders who captured her. combustionbending - a sub-bending by gifted firebenders. like said before, only two people have been able to do this, 'sparky boom boom man' (named by sokka) and p'li from legend of korra. it involves shooting(?)/firebending a combustion from their forehead. once the combustion hits the ground and/or people, they are met with an explosion. lightning generation - a skill by firebenders that have been able to basically 'shoot' lightning from their fingers. the skill contains hard and dangerous training, as seen by zuko. the indiviual needs to seperate the forces of yin and yang to portray lightning generation. firelord ozai, or known as phoenix king, was able to generate lightning quickly, along with mako from the legend of korra. lightning redirection - a skill by firebenders that is similar to lightning generation, however, lightning redirection contains once being struck by lightning, you can absorb it and redirect it wherever you want it to go. it was firstly seen by uncle iroh, however, mako used it against the battle of republic city. iroh infact seemed to have invented lightning redirection, whenever he studied waterbenders and their ability to absorb any forms of waterbending and redirect it back, suchas lightning redirection. spiritbending - a sub-bending by waterbenders that are able to bend spirits basically. i believe it was only seen in legend of korra, where korra and her uncle were able to bend bad spirits away and into good ones. i believe it was also shown when korra went into the spirit world and first met iroh. it seemed as if the spirits would change because of her mood and attitude. healing - a skill by waterbenders that are able to heal anyone they project this skill into. it was first seen by katara, who had healed many people throughout the atla series. although it takes a lot of skill and practice to heal perfectly, most of the people who obtained this skill could only heal to a bare minimum. spirit projection - a sub-bending by airbenders that can project themselves as a ghostly like-cast. i believe this was also only seen in the legend of korra, mostly used by jinora to help find captured friends or to get valuable information. i believe you can see spirit projection by whoevers doing it, however, there's been scenes where people can't see it infront of them or they can. flight - a skill by airbenders that give them the ability to of course, fly. only two known airbenders have been able to pull this off, zaheer and guru laghima. it was considered to be the legendary skill. you must denounce all earthly desires which results in true freedom. zaheer was able to fly despite being evil and a mastermind, he did this once his girlfriend, p'li, die. there are many other principles of achieving this skill, as its the hardest one out of all of them. metalbending - a sub-bending by earthbenders that are able to bend metal with their bare hands. it was first mentioned in season two, that's where toph invented this sub-class and was the first person ever to metalbend. a city called zaofu was created in the legend of korra that contained the majority population of metalbenders. lavabending - a sub-bending by earthbenders that are able to bend lava and magma. two of the avatars have been able to lava-bend, roku and kyoshi. roku used it in his final fight, whereas kyoshi used it to create kyoshi island. a couple other characters suchas bolin and ghazan have been able to lava-bend as well. seismic sense - a skill by earthbenders who are able to locate and/or feel things in the ground or on surface. it was first seen by toph, who was then known as the blind bandit, she was able to use this skill to take out opponents. with the rythmns of their feet, toph could detect where they are without even taking a breath. however, it wasn't toph who invented this skill. the badgermoles did. the badgermoles, the first earthbenders, taught toph the skills she had throughout the whole series, which she gave to aang. (yes i did write all of this, i hope this helped!)

Without being any character, the figure has so much expression through its movements. And the elements react in such a dynamic way. This is really what animation is all about. Movement. Each element has it's own style according to it's properties. Like the power of earth or the grace of air. Also, there are lots of movements from the original show, and you represented each element acordenly. Very well done

@iinkstain4 жыл бұрын
The animation from the last airbender actually holds up to date. The best animation would need to be done in japan, by talented key animators like Yutaka Nakamura. In my opinion, the quality of frane by frame animation has really degraded since how it was early on, but the japanese studios are keeping the style alive and well. If you want to be blown away, I definitely recommend searching Yutaka Nakamura on KZbin, he does the entire sequence himself just without colour.
