Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - Non-Feral Thanator & White Moss Forest Thanator | No Easy Prey Trophy

HIGHLY VALUABLE EXQUISITE MATERIALS! These are the locations of the non-feral Thanator and the non- feral White Moss Forest Thanator. Defeat one of these level 20 monsters to earn the No Easy Prey trophy or achievement. The regular one is in the Kinglor Forest in the Gossamer Lakes area. The White Moss variant is located in the Clouded Forest (3rd area of the game) in Cradling Pines area. When you are close, the screen white turn white along the edges and you will hear a heartbeat the closer you get to the Thanator. This is level 20 and will require high level gear and a strength score of at least 15, possibly higher. I was 17, very close to 18.

I accidentally met one when I was exploring the Kinglor forest at night (had a threat lvl of 6) at one point I kept walking on those annoying plants that disable your na'avi senses, then I heard a scary noise and a red dot was popping above my screen... this was the last thing I remember before being jumped on by a huge dark figure and die... I legit sh*t myself and I didn't know til now that it was a non feral thanator as I couldn't even inspect it the first time.

Between the stormglider and the thanator I wish we could. I get not being able to tame a Leonopthryx cause of the lore and mythology around it. But the stormglider would've been a good substitute

There are 4 versions apparently, there is a kinglor wetlands thanator as well the tooth gives 10% damage, the hide is light and gives glass cannon, 25% damage but take more damage. Then as another pointed out to me the borderlands thanator just south of the ensnared lake, the tooth is the same as the basic but the hide which is also light has the opposite effect as glass cannon more defense at but reduce damage by 20%

@tilipeObrabo go directly south from the aranahe home tree until you get to the leaning glade camp, from there go south east onto spool island it's there, just be aware that if you go all the way to the east side of spool island you may encounter 3 at once without the white border warning, it's happened twice for me

I remember first running into this thing and I had a feeling that’s what it was but haven’t seen it or been attacked by it but twice and then I never seen it again. Screen was going white acting all crazy then all of a sudden boom that thing took me out lol

There’s also a Boulderlands Thanator. “Only found to the south of the Ensnared Lake at the center of the Cascading Stones in the northeast of the Clouded Forest”. It’s where the lump of vines is just south of the lake.

People, listen, i understand u eant to ride a Palulukan (Thanator) or a Toruk But is not possible because: 1: the game is canon, it happens almost at the same time than the movies 2: the Toruk Makto (the Rider) is very rare to happen, Jake was the first in generations. As well is Rare to bond with a Palulukan 3: accept it won't happen, there won't be two Toruk Makto and two Palulukan Makto in such a short period of time

Yeah they scared the hell out of me the first two did and I won't lie, I did kinda Panic a little bit and I pulled out my Shotgun that has like 200 damage and dropped them both while in the Panic 🤣🤣 Hopefully I can still find another or they hopefully respawn atleast 🤷🏻‍♂️

Na I have completed the game already every skill all the armor everything you can’t ride them and turok isn’t in the game ether so two of the biggest disappointment about the game almost a deal breaker for me

I would love to have seen this as well, it would be a really cool feature. however they have very good reasons. the game is canon and set during the time of the second movie (at the start of the game you hear it mentioned that Jake has just attacked the train), and toruk only comes around in great sorrow. it would be extremely unlikely for there to be 2 toruk makto's within 14 years considering there has only been 6 since the time of the first songs. The war in the first movie is also probably the only reason that neytiri was able to be a palulukan makto (rider of a Thanator). they are the apex predator of pandora and even the na'vi, known for their courage, are terrified of them, and they are not worshipped in song. for a na'vi to become palulukan makto is an extremely rare occurrence. to go against this logic would make the game no longer canon compliant, which defeats the purpose of the entire storyline which is designed to match up with the first 2 movies, as well as the next 3. @@vincentrichardson7833

Same here what I tried to do is just grt it on a rock and try to make it glitch out so I can get a clean kill but it's hard and that's the point you will not or will get the best of it but you will get it

​@@Strelitzia98get a food buff that has fury 3 it increases damage by 50%. Also getting on wildlife damage on your mods helps. If you've unlocked master crafter you can build a heavy bow or spear that can one shot the storm gliders. The thanators are a bit more resilient though. Im still trying to one shot one. Haven't crafted everything I need though.

@@Strelitzia98definitely do co-op and have one person distract it and climb up a tree or rock so that it stands still trying to get them, then try and hit the weak spot (also use damage food buffs)

It can be done at 15 or 16 with some good dodging and skillful shots, 17 to 18 is where it gets pretty easy, 19 to 20 you can comfortably take on 3 at once

taking them on is the easy part. killing them in oneshot is what im struggling with. I can get the merciful but clean kill or whatever is difficult. Running into their spawn area as fast as possible to get 2 or 3 to spawn in and gank you is so much fun.@@sin-23-04
