i guess its been famous among foreign tourists since maybe 1990s? cause i saw some travel guides tend to list it as an option among other famous sites, like Guilin and Xi'an. no doubt that Avatar and following PR made it even more well known.

Beautiful, unique place. Feels like one of those places that are really worth to go to despite its touristyness, that is worth all the attention it gets. Meanwhile understanding the shame feeling of going into a McDonalds in a foreign country, I must admit the risk is huge that I would do the same up there if it's the only thing there is...haha. At least for a coffee and probably a real non-squat toilet :P A bit sad there's only a McDonalds up there though, instead of a great Chinese restaurant or something. Taking the cable car at least one way is not a shame though, I would say. But a bit sad it's not possible to stay for sunset.
@jzvr58422 жыл бұрын

When I was in the ROK for business, my hosts ordered Dominos pizza. It was bulgolgi pizza and was delicious. I wish I could get it here. It is also surreal to be sitting in a Starbucks in Seoul and see it looks exactly like a Starbucks in the US except all the signage is in Korean. When you encountered the frog on the trail, my first thought was "Run, little guy! Run before they grill you!"

none of the Chinese tourists seem to be sweating. They were just chilling.
@benthekeeshond5455 жыл бұрын
Most Chinese don't like exercise. It is a common belief that once you start sweating, you stop. I am not exaggerating.
@jzvr58422 жыл бұрын
@@benthekeeshond545 That's not true at all where did you get that from, pretty much everyone in China, young or old is into exercising.
@benthekeeshond5452 жыл бұрын
@@jzvr5842 How do you define exercise? Mild exercise, yes. Strenuous exercise, absolutely no. Chinese has a traditional belief that hard work and sweating belong to the hardworking farmers, not the rich and ruling class. If you are Chinese, please don't tell me that you never heard this phrase, "that is enough, you are already sweating." I am not referring to China's Olympic athletes. They got my utmost respect.
