WE ARE BACK. First off, we're sorry for the long break, we've both been busy with life lol We wanted to try watching something a bit more fun and chill, so we decided to give Avatar a shot! Since we're both busier, we won't be reacting to films as much, but we hope you're excited to join us on this adventure! Take care, and enjoy the video :) - Eric & Sarah

Fun Fact: Aang’s voice actor(who was a kid at the time) did all of his lines in New York whereas the other cast mates did it in LA. It wasn’t until the last episode of the show where he finally flew down to LA to meet everybody and finished the series finale

A certain famous VA who will come along later said he thought the studio would pull the show because it was more mature, especially for Nickelodeon. It was one of the few shows on a US childrens network at the time that talked up to kids rather than down at them, respected them enough to handle darker topics. And the way they were able to portray the consequences of war, death, genocide and so much more to pass the Y7 censors is amazing!😊
@somecallmetim21126 ай бұрын
Specifically, he said it was "too smart" for Nickelodeon. :)

Aang doesn't need heavier clothing for the arctic climate because airbenders are able to control the temperature of the air surrounding them

Since no one in the KZbin comments has done this yet. Aang-12 (technically 112) Katara-14 Sokka-15 Zuko-16 A lot of potential questions will be answered later but without stepping into spoiler territory: All four bending styles are based on different martial arts, which is why the coyography is extremely smooth when you start seeing fight scenes. One key detail to keep in mind that popped up in this episode is that Gran-Gran says that airbenders as a whole haven't been seen in 100 yrs. Aside from the Avatar, every bender can only bend a single element, which is typically the element of the country they live in. Bending is a hereditary trait, but it isn't guaranteed to be inherited. The Air Nomad temples in the North, East, South, and West and the water tribes at the North and South poles are fairly isolated, so essentially, it's been The Earth Kingdom vs The Fire Nation for the entire 100 year conflict. There obviously are exceptions to this that you will learn about later.

Just discovered you through this video but I‘m sure you will love this show! As you said: It isn’t „just“ a kids show. The characters and the world building are top notch and the story is so, so deep in many ways. Hope you will carry on soon, but although: Take the time you need! It isn’t a show that should be rushed, as it is full of details. :)

This series re elaborated many Asian traditions, religions and philosophy. The avatar reincarnates like the Dalai Lama, when dies, vows to return and elder monks looks for signs and specific kids and evaluate them using relics belonging to the past Dalai Lama. Here is similar, but the Avatar alternates tribes.

Modern ships in firenation use come from the fact that they bend fire, so its easier for them to melt and conjure metals. You will see throught out the series the difference in technological advancements.

Appa is 6/106 Aang is 12/112 Katara is 14 Sokka is 15 Zuko is 16 Uncle Iroh is 56-63 (age never given) The bending's are based on real martial arts. List is in Avatar cycle order. Fire is based on Northern Shaolin Air is based on Baguazhang Water is based on Tai Chi Earth is based on Hung Gar All music in it is original. Great soundtrack. Arrow on Aang's head mean he has reach the title of Airbending Master. Appa's arrow is just fur pattern. Most creatures in this world are made up of 2 or more animals from our would. Appa is bison and manatee. This is a cartoon not a true anime but it's beloved by anime fans so much that most considered it a honorary anime. This is 1 of the greatest shows to be made. And in most people view (me included) it's the best cartoon to ever be made.

I mixed you up with someone else and mistakenly thought you uploaded this 3 DAYS ago. I assumed I would have to wait for your next episode. Then I finished the episode and noticed that you uploaded this 3 MONTHS ago. To quote Aang: "Yippee!" I'll check out your channel and watch the next episode. I'm guessing that you are enjoying the series, and may have finished one or more Seasons (Books) already.
@somecallmetim21126 ай бұрын
Welcome to excellence. This is, perhaps, the best Western animated show of all time. All of your questions will be anticipated and answered by the writers, for the most part. Fantastic world-building and lore is doled out in exquisitely-measured doses. Book I is largely episodic and kid-oriented (kinda). Books II and III get more serious, darker, and linearly story-focused. The finale of Book I is where it gets turned up, so just remember how great Book I was when you get there. It only gets BETTER. :D The 4 bending styles are patterned after real-world martial arts. The fight choreography is SO good, and improves as the characters mature and gain experience. Martial arts master Sifu Kisu is credited as a major consultant. The animators were made to attend martial arts classes to learn up close what each style looked look, so they could be accurate in their animation of the various bending styles. Water - Tai Chi Fire - Northern Shaolin Earth - Hung Gar Air - Baguazhang Another notable character you will meet later is based on a modified Southern Praying Mantis. The Water Tribe is based on the Inuit people, the Fire Nation on feudal Japan, and the Earth Kingdom on ancient China.

Maybe the best American production animated in Asia, since Thundercats.

Pls look into the true episode order instead of what netflix suggests. Sometimes 2 episodes are made to be one whole one, like the pilot and season finale for example. The shows finale is 1 episode in 4 parts etc there are more. The show is watchable either way but i think to understand some things more fully its easier to get when watched as intended, if thats possible for you ❤

Welcome back. Have been curious as to where you’ve been. However I wish you guys would have come back with a bang and a good movie. A good comedy if you needed something light instead of a cartoon. That’s basically how I feel about Anime. I know it’s different but I’ve never cared for Anime and never will, so disappointed in this comeback. Look forward to real movie reactions.
