The point of singing this as a vocalise is that the spiritual meaning is not just for Christians..Igor is Jewish, Dimash is Muslim, but we are all spiritual beings in this world

I discovered Dimash by watching the very first song in the Im Singer show on Chinese TV. I'm French, and from the first note I recognised the song SOS. I was immediately impressed by the quality of his voice and his presence. I may have looked at 70,000 rectors or so. Joshua, you're one of the 3 or 5 people out of those 700,000 who speak best of Dimash, and Dimash's art, and you hadn't seen anything yet.

We are like a single organism scattered all over the world... Our eyes tearing up, our hearts beat in sync, we get goosebumps, we feel happy and sad, we close our eyes and dream of a better world at the same time. We are proud citizens of Dimashland. The more we listen to this indescribable voice, the more we grow, the more we listen, the more we heal, the more we listen, the better we get. We are DEARS!!!

It's incredible how music, and in this case, Dimash's indescribable voice, can create such a powerful and unifying connection among people from all corners of the world. We are indeed proud citizens of Dimashland, where emotions are felt collectively, and the music becomes a source of growth, healing, and inspiration. Hello there so happy you returned to Dimash. He a musulman asked mr Krotoy a jew to write him a song (from a christian origine) that could unite all the people of this world regardless of race or religion. So its not only a song to analyze but a feeling to absorbe.

With regard to Dimash's body and hand positions. These come from 24 years of intense training. I saw a video of Dimash in a crouching position next to a singer, trying to show him how to belt a high note. He even coached him how to breathe, but the guy couldn't' t even get close. In another video, Dimash was sitting in front of a Chinese vocal coach. The coach had Dimash vocalize. The coach used his hands to direct Dimash. Thumb touching forefinger, Palm out, palm up. A kind of sign language that Dimash has so internalized through the years that they are part of him. They are so very supple and sometimes subtle but always beautiful. Thank you for your thoughtful reactions.

Hello again from Kazakhstan! Your reactions are very informative. You are truly an expert in your field, just bravo. You know, Dimash has his own official song that mere mortals like us can sing, in pop style. It’s called “Screaming”, this version has 3 versions, the first is the official video, the second is in the “idol hits” performances, and the third is a performance in China) we are sooooo looking forward to your reactions. Good luck !

I think he hits that F6 on top. Then jumping into on set of C6 with small sustaining sound. That is way more impressive than big loud C6. Singing with small volume and sustain the note and add crescendo and decrescendo with vibrato and fade it into the air. Mastery advance level of singing. Messe de voce.

First, Dimash did this whole song with open mouth all through out and did Not hold the microphone too. That messa de voce ending is indeed phenomenal. I would argue he is much rarer than 1%. If there is anyone else on the planet who can do everything he can do, I've never heard of them. That may be a tragedy of privilege and location. As far as known stars though, I don't even know of a historical singer who is known to have done what he does. Possibly Farinelli? Even he had a top note of C6, far below Dimash's D8.

Howdy from Orlando, Florida, USA, my talented friend! Since your first reaction to Dimash's "SOS" 3 months ago I have been eagerly awaiting your EXPERIENCING this performance of "Ave Maria", as it had me weeping within the first 4 bars with its exquisite beauty, transporting me from our 3rd Dimension up into the 4th, where our dreams and meditations lie when I heard it for the very first time. I've made a vow to listen to it every day of my life ever since.❤✨❤ This particular performance of "Ave Maria" is noteworthy for several reasons. You might have noticed that in the beginning it took Dimash a seemingly longer time than usual to settle down into the music to the point where he becomes totally immersed into it. And, at the closing, if you watch closely beyond where you stopped reacting, he STILL had not "come out of it" a good 10 seconds after the last note, even when meeting up with Igor to acknowledge the audience. I have never witnessed this with him before or since. I bring this up to say that Dimash's own mom has spoken of times when he has gone so "deeply" into performing that even she "has not recognized" her son.😳 Also, you may find it interesting that some or all of those odd sounding noises in the very beginning were from our own musical instruments made to be able to approximate the sounds of some specialized audio equipment that listens for and records the sounds of extremely deep outer space...or the actual sounds themselves...or a combination thereof. And all this time I had thought that there was nothing but silence! Who knew??? I apologize for not being able to remember the exact circumstances, but perhaps another Dear can explain things further?💫 Here's hoping you can find these tidbits as intriguing as I did.😉

Hi, Carl, I’m glad you found this video, and it seems you enjoyed it. I usually enjoy your reactions/analyses, but for this one I believe it would have been better to watch/listen through, then maybe go back and listen again, pausing for comment. The song is so short that cutting it up like you did detracted from the beauty in the buildup, and we lost the expression as a whole. I’m pretty sure as you go back and relisten, you will agree. Anyway, great to see Dimash back on your channel. Have a great day and Merry Christmas!

❗Him standing in front of a full length mirror, his palm on his throat, his coach on a stool. One note compressed, loud to soft over and over, one foot slightly moved, another, one hand, the other, both, a shoulder, another, stance slightly forward, back, to the side, torso weight slightly moved, facial muscles, al! the while feeling for the exact vocal chord vibration he's looking for, the same note over and over. A video. Watch his stance on the last note, he deliberately puts one foot forward to give him the torso balance he needs for it.

Hi Carl! Thank you so much for reacting to this ethereal performance by Dimash. It never fails to impress me how eloquently you put your thoughts into words. Even when you can't find the words, I'm always learning something from your reactions. I have an important suggestion about reacting to the Story of One Sky. I suggest watching the live version from Dimash’s Almaty concert first. I will post the link below for your convenience. Many people suggested the MV, and I agree that you must watch it, but I believe that for the sake of having an analysis focused purely on the song and Dimash’s heart-wrenching and powerful vocals, it is better to watch the live version first. The MV is like a short film, and while it enhances the story, the visuals are very graphic, and combined with the music, may result in sensory overload the first time you experience it. The live version allows you to fully immerse yourself in his singing and the message of the story without triggering an emotional breakdown, as is what usually happens to many reactors when they watch the MV first. Of course, if you have already filmed your reaction video, then you can ignore all of that. All of this is just my opinion, and some Dears may disagree with me. I respect their opinions, and ultimately it is your choice, so I am sure I will enjoy your reaction nonetheless. Best regards from the USA. The live version can be found here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4GUo2ytodCgfrcsi=VHAs07fqkTYixDKU&t=1398 The link should take you to the 23 min mark of the video, where Dimash gives a short speech to introduce the song, and I think it gives very deep insight into him as a human being. The song itself begins at about the 25 min mark, I believe. Hopefully this is helpful to you!

Heavenly as always. There is no current genre for Dimash 's type of music. So I suggest we call it it genre Dimash. ❤

What a beautiful sentiment! Dimash's music truly transcends traditional genres, blending elements from various styles to create something unique and extraordinary. "Genre Dimash" has a nice ring to it and perfectly captures the essence of his musical artistry. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! ❤️

Sometime back I thanked a reactionist for not having made the reaction to the Ave Maria of Dimash until the end of this very special performance. In very recent times, I have commented your reaction/analysis very favourably but this particular rendering by Dimash deserved to be heard and listened to without interruption...............it's very short, so ample time for considerazioni. Thank you

Love your reactions! In your previous Dimash videos, after you paused to comment, you would rewind a few seconds when you returned to the video, please continue to do that because if you pause right on the build up parts without rewinding, sometimes it can reduce the impact/energy of the build up's. Just my opinion, from a fellow Dear😊 Also, I believe you are doing an excellent job with your analysis/reactions 😊

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

This is the only Dimash song I know about which is entirely within a soprano's range. There are no language challenges, either. So why are there no sopranos interested in covering the song? If there are, I haven't been able to find them.

Why cover the perfection?! 😉
@Urgelt

@@EllanaTs So we have something to compare. Only a very skilled soprano would take it on, I think. Dimash sings in this range with clarity and subtlety. How would a good soprano sound? It would be fun to hear how it goes.

@@Urgelt It is my understanding that very few master Messa di voce technique. Plus, they don’t use breathy onsets either in the operatic singing (again, in my understanding).

@@EllanaTs yeah. I don't doubt it's a tough challenge. But no-one at all? Operatic sopranos aren't the only sopranos. There are some cross-over singers with both pop and opera training under their belts.

@@Urgelt I am happy with Dimash’s version, so I am not waiting for the covers. 😁 Besides, his quality of tone in all the registers and mastery of dynamics made it impossible for me to listen to most singers now. I simply get bored with them.
