What have I learned from following Dimash's career??? I got to know various musical instruments, because Dimash often receives them from fans, and he often uses Kazakh instruments. I got to know different musical styles, because Dimash often combines different styles in one song. I learned musical nomenclature because to understand the virtuosity of His performances, you need to know something about music as such. I met many artists who sang with Dimash in duets, trios, etc. I met many countries, because his fans come from all countries, and because Dimash often performed in places she knew almost nothing about. I learned about Kazakh traditions, costumes, folk songs because Dimash promotes knowledge about his country. I met many important people from various fields, not only music, because they invite Dimasha to various meetings and conversations, and reward Dimashnot only for music, but also for humanity. He is respected in many countries for his moral stance and dedication to music. I met many fans who are actively involved in social activities, because Dimash sets a good example and people finally have a role model. I could write a lot. If you want, you can get to know it, but if you don't want to, that's too bad. Everyone prefers something different.

This “kid” is turning 30 this year, was 22 in this competition, and either just has or is just about to complete his doctorate. If you don’t examine any other selections from him, it’s your loss. But thanks for doing this one. I enjoyed it.

Dimash was brought in to the Singer as a wildcard contestant, who was only supposed to do a performance or two. Their ratings were lagging, & they wanted to shake things up some, so Dimash came in as the only non Chinese, & youngest, to ever perform here....age 22. The other other contestants were all well known professionals, competing by invitation only, & the audience was 500 musicians, who were the judges. Nobody knew Dimash, or knew his singing. The audience was only told to welcome him enthusiastically as he had the first performance of the new season. After he performed, China exploded, & nobody needed to ''act'' enthused. Needless to say, Dimash stayed for the whole 14 week season, not the one or two performances they'd planned on. If this isn't your style, he has many styles....he's different every time. Sings in multiple languages, plays several instruments & is university educated, with several degrees. He sings opera, to pop, to jazz, to crossover, to rap, mixes several styles into one song at times, & dances as well.

Beautiful heartfelt reaction, however you have no idea what you have landed on here. You will need 10-12 performances in multiple styles and languages to BEGIN to understand the scope of his talent. He is the incomparable master of every style and register. Opera, classical, pop , rock, ethnic and original music where he uses techniques from multiple styles sometimes within a single phrase. Does Dimash sing the kind of music that you listen to? Of course he does. He also sings everything else. Check out his cover of " The Show Must Go On " from this same competition. Keep in mind this was in 2017. He has only gotten better since then. Check out Stranger by Dimash. He is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English quickly becoming his third with a little Mandarin thrown in for good measure. He sings in a host of languages however, like 15 or so. He also sings in different genres, plays multiple instruments, composes, acts, raps, etc. And, yes, he actually does music because he loves it. He is actually very humble and respectful. In concert he is very warm and interactive and he thinks nothing of getting on his knees and bowing to the audience in thanks. Oh, and this is not his total range at all. He is known world wide and has an army of fans and although it is not your type of music, give it a go because he does so many different things.

Roimer has introduced you to the greatest singer in the world! I am sure you noticed the seamless transitions between genres from opera to metal belts. Dimash was the youngest competitor, the wildcard , the only one who wasn’t professional. This performance was viewed by 600 million people and he became a superstar overnight in China. In the introduction, for me , the important part was that Dimash was not pleased about changing the arrangement and the fact that the judging was based upon the audience jumping up and clapping, in his culture that is definitely not a customary reaction, where standing ovations are common in many cultures, giving the artist flowers at the end and polite applause is customary. With that being said, this show shot Dimash into fame at a mind blowing level. I would never judge simply by one song, he sings in at least 14 languages, virtually all genres and is respected by the best of the musical industry David Foster, Placido Domingo, and Jackie Chan who requested to meet Dimash after this performance ❤.

Dimash's next World Stranger Tour will happen in Hong Kong on 23 Dec 2023 while the Dears and Fans are eager to await and already in Hong Kong days before the concert. Dimash will blow everyone's mind away once again as his concerts are not just concerts. It's a life time experience you will never forget. His next concert will be in Budapest on 4 May 2024.

Dimash hasn’t signed with any big American company as he wants control of what he sings, so he has integrity. He lives and breathes music and is very much the humanitarian, writing songs about peace in the world, going to conferences etc. he is very intellectual. Try Stranger from New Wave 2021. It’s like a game of thrones movie score, in English and epic. Just give him one more go, at least.

The reason he had a standing ovation 6 years ago is because he is widely regarded by professional singers / musicians as the greatest all around singer / performer of all time. Today Dimash is 29 and sings pretty much every style of music in about 15 different languages. He was the only contestant not from China, so they gave him an extended intro for this first performance. He was also the youngest to ever perform in the show at that time. This was pre-pandemic. Dimash sings in different languages and different genres, including a few songs by Queen, and many performances inspired by Michael Jackson. He woke up the next morning a superstar in China. This Chinese show was lightyears better than most of the formula talent shows. All of the contestants are professionals invited to compete. There were no stupid or insulting auditions or critiques. On episode 3 he sings "Show Must Go On."

Dimash had to compete in this difficult show "I´m singer" in 12 rounds against very well-known singers in China. He was the only unknown from another country, the youngest participant up to that point. With his first appearance with S.O.S., everything changed for him overnight and he had a huge fan base (his "Dears") in China. After that, he became more and more known and popular in other parts of the world. His skills (technique, range) are outstanding and incomparable. Taste, of course, is somewhat personal. In addition, his music is mostly not chewing gum music. I love his voice and his quality as great entertainer on stage.

That you're used to singers and bands that pick a genre and stay in it? That's not Dimash. As an independent artist and a true musician Dimash sings, writes and performs what he feels like, when he feels like it. As for your doubting his honesty when he says that all he cares about is a beautiful performance, you couldn't be more wrong. He does what he does for the love of music and the love for his fans. The reason for the extended intro is that it was the first show of the series, and he was an unknown wildcard invited to take part. You'll find that other songs from the show have much shorter.run-ins. If you react to Dimash you can certainly expect your channel to get a boost, as he has a huge number of fans. He's developed immensely in the intervening years. This song is only a fraction of what he can do. He's technically easily the best vocalist I've ever seen.

Dimash was 22 years old when he was on that show. He was a guest performer on this show of China’s professional performers. Dimash was the first performer on the show and after this performance they asked him to stay for the rest of competition. Dimash was the first non-Chinese performer ever on this show, he was only amateur on the show and he was the youngest performer. They called him, “Our imported younger brother”! After this performance they had to get him bodyguards because of all the fans he had generated. By the way, he came in second place! He stayed in China almost 3 years performing around the country at different venues and some competitions. He did win other competitions. They still love “ Dimashi “ in China very much! 😊❤️

SOS is part of the French/Canadian musical/rock opera Starmania. The hero finds his girlfriend dead and sings this song over her dead body. I appreciate your honesty.❤ Dimash is NOT for everyone. As a fellow Metalhead, I can understand your desire to have music fall within a familiar style. Not everyone can truly leave thier comfort zones. This song was challenging not only because of the butter smooth transitions between different Octaves but also the changes from head, chest and mixed voices. Add in the switch between Pop, Rock, and Opera voices and you have the jaw dropping exhibition seen here from 7 years ago. To your comment about whether or not he's really just doing it "for the love of the game" the answer is a resounding YES. If he was doing it for any other reason he would have signed on with big record labels a long time ago and everyone would know his name. Instead he remains 100% independent and pursues his own musical passions because the art and the result, and making people feel something with his music, is more important to him than the fame. He's even bowed out of competition because he will not compete against children. When he does compete he always praises and supports his competitors and looks for lessons he can gain from them as an artist; he's constantly learning, evolving, and adapting his craft. One of the many wonderful things about Dimash is that he performs nearly every genre of music so usually everyone can find at least one of his songs that they really enjoy. I'm sure it's been mentioned already but on this show A) you cannot audition, you must be invited by the producers and B) every performance must be a cover except ONE which can be an artist's original work, so the competitors had to be very careful about what they chose to sing along the way to remain competitive. Dimash faced a particular challenge because, at the time, he only spoke his two native languages and only a few words in English and Mandarin. All of the foreign language songs he learned and sang phonetically. On this show he sang in songs in Chinese (I'm pretty sure they were all Mandarin), French, English, and Kazakh. This song also doesn't come anywhere near the full ability of his range or his talents so I would definitely recommend checking out some of his other stuff just to get a more well-rounded sense of his capabilities. He has several original compositions, many of which have really great live versions as well as some wonderfully produced music videos! Even seeing the same song from him multiple times can be like hearing it for the first time again because he always brings something new and interesting to every performance.

Dimash Qudaibergen PhD was age 22 in this video and is now 29. He has a 7,7 octave range and is considered the greatest singer in the world. He sings everything from Kazak folk songs, to love songs, to rock and even some metal. He did not win this contest because he was not Chinese though absolutely the best on that stage. He is also a film director, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. He runs his own show, not allowing producers near him. He and his parents manage everything. He began his classical training at age 5 and his band and backup singers are either school mates and or their wives. He is kind, loving, giving, and adores his fans though they have increased so strongly, he cannot spend time with them as he once did.

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. Luckily he was able to assert himself in the performance. He can be very stubborn. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. SOS is Dimash masterpiece!! It is an existentialist song, about ups and downs in life, depression and death, when you feel you don’t belong here. The lights in the back denoting all emotional stages, the wings and final moments before departing to heaven. Dimash is the Most Skilled Vocalist ever!!! Technically and artistically that’s a fact. His versatility, wide range, stage presence, performance, background, technique, creativity, powerful and beautiful voice makes him all in one 🔝🔝🎤❤️🌹 The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. I would say it is way too soon to assume he sing the type of music you prefer as what he performs is difficult to categorise given the variety he brings to each performance. I'm not sure if heavy rock is represented but I would suggest at least listening to stranger and sinful passion to get a better idea of what he does (even if only to add another digit or two to your subscriber count, and yes that is possible given his following).

For future reference, the episodes of The Singer did have cc for English subtitles. It is very interesting to know what was being said. For now, it would take too long for me to interpret for you. really hope that you do more of Dimash's appearances on The Singer 2017 with English subtitles. He was amazing and the comments from the other singers were shocked. You were so wrong in your comment about doing it for the love of the game. Dimash sang a cover of the French song SOS and sang it in French. After the first episode, for the next 13, they put in Subtitles because Dimash was such an unbelievable wonder. This was their first time hearing Dimash sing. Keeping watching him. He will do your stye sooner or later. Because of his extensive training and pitch perfect voice, Dimash can do anything.

SOS is from a french rock opera. He doesn't shy away from difficult material. Listen to him do a flawless cover of the Diva Dance. So the story goes, it's supposed to be an alien come down to earth singing this piece in a show (can't recall what it was called). The piece was originally sung by an opera singer, but to make it more like an alien is singing it; it was computer generated to make it sound like no mortal could sing it. Until Dimash came along and performed it, to my recollection, no one had been successful at it. It's a very complex piece.

You might need to sort out your recordings though as the picture was very blurry and you're not exactly accustomed to public speaking are you lol. Yes, I agree, there are some artists, actors/actresses, performers, etc. that I can 100% see why they're so well thought of and can certainly admire them for what they do - but sometimes it isn't the sort of thing I would seek out myself. And that is a GOOD thing - it gives us variety and stops the world being a boring place. There is a full video, of this, with english subtitles. Most of the pre-amble was about his choices of how he wanted the music arrangement, disagreeing with the producers, and how the performance was what counted, not the winning - although he always won.
