It works with some hubs apparently, check the Akai forums. My MacBook only has 2 ports nd there already both occupied. Refuse to swap cables out constantly hahah

If you can’t use a USB hub how do you update the firmware on a MacBook Pro as they don’t have inputs that support normal USB. Only USB C

excellent video on updating mpc... i got my mpc one yesterday :) the only little issue i had was with the ilok password as if you use the suggested strong one you can't copy paste it to a clip board to then put into your log in screen for ikok so i had to change password and think up a password and write it down for later in case! THANK YOU! now looking at ALL those playing and expansions... flip!!

REQUEST REQUEST... Man you very thorough in your videos. My request is can you do videos on installing Expansions from PC to standalone.Installing plug-ins from PC to standalone which some standalone I know you can't do standalone and installing pad perform packs from PC to standalone. I purchase some of these from third parties but I have a hard time Unzip and downloading and installing these packs then trying to install on standalone.

I would like to add something that isn't talked about that I had to figure out on my own because I couldn't find the answer. If you own multiple newer MPCs and you want to be able to use all of them with the software, you need to go into the drivers folder and install the drivers for the second MPC. Really when you're installing and updating the software, they should have an option to select multiple MPCs instead of just one.

don't buy Worlde / Panda, that's cheap chinese copies that don't last long. furthermore the MIDI mapping is terrible, might not work properly. buy the original ;-)

excellent video ! I was able to get through the install of the MPC software (I'm a Windows 10 user as well) however I had to use the 'trial' version , other wise asking me for an activation code ?? I sent a support message to akai - we'll see what happens. the control mode explanation was perfect !! Thanks

Love the video, however I am lost on how to download the software (kits and whatnot that came with the Live 2 purchase) to my Live 2. In one of your videos you use a drumkit thing and say "this is free and comes with the LIve2 you've got to download it and I have a video for that", but I'm unable to find that video; please forgive my ignorance lol. I just got a mpc x but for some strange reason I don't have a monitor button in my audio track. When you go to input config. under inserts and the read or write button theirs a off, in auto button all in one then under that should be the monitor button... NO MONITOR BUTTON bruh driving me nuts. I want to update to the full version of beats; how would I do that coming from the beats version. 8 midi and 2 audio is sufficient but I want the full software and can the full version be used as a fully functional DAW? I have the MPC X. I just got it 3 weeks ago. I tried to go to controller mode and it's trying to search for my PC but it does not find it. it keeps searching after 15 minutes. I plugged the blue cord that it came with to the MPC X and the PC. Now when it starts up it's starting up saying trying to find PC so I have to change it to Standalone mode to get back to the main page. Can you help?

There is currently a bug with the firmware crashing the plugin in studio one 5.4. Reached out to Akai no response over 3 weeks, can't find a source to get the old firmware.

My MPC ONE is giving me a hard time. I have watched videos on how to get started with this but I’ve been unsuccessful. 1: I downloaded the 2.9.1 software and it didn’t work properly saying no sound. So I uninstalled it and downloaded it again. Now when I open the link it says “failed to download”! I am trying to run it on a PC Windows 10 Home HP Probook. So now I’m trying a system restoration. Also when in standalone, I can get any sound from 16 note cord progressions! This has been very stressful because I just got this MPC negative ONE a little over a month ago! Can you help?

When I try to connect my mpc one to the mpc beats software, the mpc one shows the "Looking for computer" screen, but the beats software never recognizes the mpc one and it never goes into controller mode. I've tried the learn and enable function and the set-up wizard, but the mpc one screen still shows "Looking for computer". I'm using the USB cord that came with it. When I plug in the USB cord into the computer, the computer makes the sound signifying a device has been plugged in so it doesn't appear to be the cord. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.
