If you didn't know, the song "Bat Country," is from "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas." Even the video has a scene from the beginning of the book & the movie. "This is bat country..." is a line from Hunter, the main character, played by Johnny Depp, while they're driving in a red, stolen convertible while tripping on lsd, and other 'party favors' and swatting at bats with badminton rackets. That's just the first 5 min...the rest? 😱😱😱 Great movie, classic & iconic book. EVERYONE should see or read it! **Oh yeah, it's also my favorite song from Avenge Sevenfold too! 🤘😁 Thanks again for a great vid!

The Rev was an amazing drummer. RIP. One of his major influencers, Mike Portnoy, played with them for a while after the Rev’s passing.

"Blinded in Chains" is still my favorite A7X song. When I listen to it, be it at home or in the car, everyone listens to it. You are welcome. "Rev", RIP, but you completely nailed it with this song.

A7X is my all time fave. You could pick any song and love it! Blinded in Chains is the goat for me. Check out “A Little Piece of Heaven”. And Warmness on the Soul was my wedding song (1st dance). Love your breakdown and yes it was the Rev on drums. Nightmare was the first album without him. He was a gift to us RIP! Synyster Gates on lead guitar is an absolute legend. M Shadows vocals are unique and amazing. I could go on for days. Thanks for reviewing A7X!

Yes and no. Although the studio version of the fifth (Nightmare) album was recorded by Mike Portnoy. The Rev managed to make most of the drums for the album before his death. He tried to keep the demo recording at 100% He had to play with something a bit because the recordings were not in good quality. These were demo recordings that he played mostly on electric drums :)
