this is what Shadows has to say about Blinded in Chains- "Blinded in Chain has to do with all of our political parties always fighting over little thing and never really coming together for a common good. Everyone knows its unproductive, but we all continue to support that system of government. It also is a tribute on how this country was started and how we became what we are, our characteristics and our flaws, and how I feel some of our flaws are what makes the USA great."

A7X aren't a Christian band in the strictest sense, but their first three albums were heavily influenced from the Bible and biblical themes. A good example is "The Wicked End" from City of Evil and "Chapter Four" from Waking the Fallen to name only a couple. But no they're not a Christian band, just draw influence from the Bible. Speaking of which, I definitely recommend "Bat Country" from City of Evil but the lyric version since the video version cuts a good two minutes from the song.

Afterlife (I won't see you tonight не в счёт), но у них также и работы с более глубоким смыслом есть, как в этом видео, например. Потому они мне и нравятся.

Those instruntals are legendary and what makes this album close to perfection in metal as you are going to get. Lines like that in it....man come on. This is where it's at! The Rev was notorious for making sure he got drum tracks recorded in one take. He went to great lengths to do it. Can you Imagaine the entire city of evil album done in one take on drums? Churches that wont let single mothers baptize their kids because they are single or churches that wont let you in until you come with all your information...Im sure this was not M.Shadows point for writting this song but its how I like to interpretate it because I still see this problematic in churches all around the world.

I love how you mention what sounds like a cowbell. That is actuallyThe Rev’s snare drum hits. It’s the one thing that drives me insane regarding City of Evil. Why he used a thin piccolo snare drum is a mystery. It’s so high pitched that you may mistake it for a cowbell. The engineer and producer should have encouraged him to use a deeper snare. Their next album, self titled features a much more cohesive and deeper snare drum. Overall though, The Rev was such an amazing talent. Incredible musician. Keep it up brother!!!
