1:22 Syn says “He even does wind.... or was that just a microphone put up to my ear?” That joke almost went over my head hahaha. As if he’s saying that’s what you hear inside his head cuz he’s brainless. You gotta love Syn’s very lowkey, dry subtle humor!

@ezramotz1995
@ezramotz1995 Жыл бұрын
@@rafelneo yeah you could interpret it that way too, except the only thing about that is people with tinnitus tend to experience more of a constant buzzing/ringing/droning/humming type of noise. But not all of them hear the same thing or those exact types of sound examples I listed above…it varies from person to person, so yeah it’s possible that is indeed what he meant when he said that. Either way, it’s still him being funny with his unique brand of dry humor, nonetheless. Gotta love The Gates!!

They really ended up being a great pairing, I hope Brooks is in the band for many many years, after the misstep of Arin it seems they got the perfect guy now.

The drum part that starts at 11:57 and then they continue a few seconds later when syn says "then we go back into our theme" that part and transition sounds more like it came straight from Jimmy's mind than anything I've ever heard brooks write or play and it blows my fucking mind. Sounds like it came straight out of one of the longer songs towards the end of the "City of Evil" album such as, "m.i.a." "the wicked end" "strength of the world" "betrayed" I fucking love it.

Thanks for doing this song in this series, it easily fights for the top spot, in my head, as my absolute favorite by you guys. After hearing the new single Nobody it just solidified what I was thinking when The Stage came out.. Brooks isn't just the new drummer of A7X, he's apart of the family. I love how you guys are continually pushing yourselves as not only musicians, but having the vision for a certain texture, idea, feel of a song, and executing it. All of that is only getting better, and better, and better. Exist is a perfect example of this, and having Brooks in the family is helping to push the whole band to think in new and innovative ways for the band.

They tried the mentor, the student but in the end, went with the rival! Comparing Brooks to the Rev, while both have an insane level of technical skill and range, those things are on the surface. There is a different kind of fire underneath, for each of them. While I do miss the Rev's influence, I don't think the band ever even had a chance of replacing him, at best it would have been an imitation. Instead they went with something new and different, I think Brooks was an excellent choice and a great addition to the band! The Stage is probably my second favorite album by a7x, there's certainly great things ahead.

That's a common theme with A7X, their albums always seem to end with some kind of extremely complex musical masterpiece fit to end a career (Exist, Save Me, M.I.A. etc), usually a top 3 song on the album. They really put a crazy amount of effort into those closing songs, and with the exception of Acid Rain it seems like they always try and one-up the last one in terms of chaos and complexity

Also, Brooks’ kit sounds epically tight. Fusion or pants or whatever, I have never heard a kit sound so good

Brooks has such a perfect place in this band. I loved him in bad religion and tenacious D, but in A7X you really get to see him expand more on his creativity mixed in with the chemistry of avenged. A true freak of nature

Jason Freese is the touring keyboardist for Green Day too, for those of you that wouldn't recognize his name. He's the guy with the toothpick all the time hahahah. Dave Grohl has his gum, Jason Freese has his toothpick.
