Though it has a hell of a chance, Avatar had the advantage of being the very first movie with 3D in it, which is why it did so good on its opening weekend... also Endgame is 3 hours long, which means less showtimes in less theaters.

Now days I feel 3 hour duration for a film will go by quickly because the story always picks very fast. The 3 hour cut will have everything since the Russo's said there will only be few deleted scenes. They will cover every storyline for every character by giving each one of them the closure they need.

I loved it and I’m sure everybody does. I can’t wait to watch it again. I can’t believe it has been 11 years. I wish this was like a never ending series and we had a chance to watch it every week and experience more stories like this. I’m almost 20 and I lived and grown with these characters like everyone. For the first time in my life I don’t know what to do or what to wait for. I know that far from home is coming but nothing is like watching all the characters that you love together in one movie. I’m thankful for this movie and this franchise and I’ll always be. Feels like it was yesterday when we watched iron man 1. Thank you greg, thank you john for your review

It would be easy for me to talk about the big moments but my favorite is the scene where Nebula and Tony are playing football on the ship, she wins and Tony says something like "good game, you won fair and square" and shakes her hand, I was so happy for her because she never won anything, she always lost to Gamora so that's why Thanos turned her into a cyborg, but then the look on her face and how she acted ripped my heart out and stomped on it because you realize she has no idea how to react to winning, no idea what to do when something good happens to her because nothing ever has, Thanos didn't just take her physical body but took her soul, that was so heart breaking watching her have no clue how to react to winning something and then a kind gesture afterwards, well done writers and directors, well done

Just came back from watching it and I agree with your points. It had a job of ending the first trilogy of Marvel phases, and it did so with aplomb. Lots of fanservice and callbacks, with well-directed emotional weight to boot. Not sure if it's my favorite superhero movie (TDK still dons that crown) or even Marvel movie, but it's up there. Definitely a few moments that got everyone in the theater cheering louder than Thor's superhero landing in Infinity War.
