Also, Hulk did not reverse time when he snapped. If Infinity War took place in 2018, then the present year in Endgame is 2023. He brought back everyone who had turned to dust in 2018. So for all those people who returned, it appears to them as if they instantly skipped over those five years. That also means that all those returned people didn't age five years older.

The irony of the line "No amount of money ever bought a second of time" coming from a man who used his wealth to create a time machine to tell his deceased father the same advice his father told him. Also basically a causal loop. And no, Nebula did not know about Red Skull and the "everlasting exchange" to acquire the Soul Stone. All she knew was that Thanos and Gamora went to Vormir to get the stone and only Thanos came back. She wasn't there on Vormir to learn what really happened. She likely assumed that Gamora fought Thanos to try preventing him from getting the stone and died in battle. So Nebula couldn't warn Clint and Nat that one of them needed to die because she simply did not know.

If it helps ease the mind, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans had a long term contract starting with their individual first movies, running up for a fixed number of movies, which Endgame was the last, and they both decided not to extend their offered contracts. This had been public information before Endgame came out, so many fans predicted that one or both of their characters would be killed off. So they DID choose this, and I can't think of a better way to send off our two most central Avengers. Tony saved the universe by sacrificing himself, and Steve got to go back in time and live the life with Peggy that was taken from him initially. It was a great great movie. The portals scene is my favorite movie scene in all of cinema history. Endgame really was the pinnacle of the greatness of the MCU. Great reaction. Enjoyed!

Nebula didn't know specifically that the Soul Stone required a sacrifice, just that Gamora died there. Branching timelines.... welcome to the beginning of the multiverse. For me, Thanos and Zemo are the two best Marvel villains. Both have motivations that, while misguided, are understandable. I like that you caught some of the callbacks. One subtle one that is my favorite is between Tony and Peter Parker. In every other movie and up until the end of this movie, Peter always called Tony "Mr. Stark." After Tony has done the snap and is dying, one of the last things Peter says to him is "Tony." He also apologizes (just as he did when he dusted in Infinity War) for failing, because Peter always takes on all the responsibility even when it isn't all his to take.

Which raises the question of what "Future Steve" was doing all that time he was with Peggy, while "Past Steve" was still frozen in the ice, and eventually revived to resume being Captain America. Presumably, he had to keep his existence completely secret. I suppose he could have done some "undercover" superhero work, at least during the 50's and 60's, and maybe even through the 90's or so, depending on how slowly he ages with the super-soldier serum in him. And then, during the events of the MCU movies, he was just an old guy married to old Peggy, but still keeping the secret that he was really THE Steve Rogers. Peggy mentions being married, saying that Cap was responsible for her meeting the man who would eventually become her husband, but no one ever tracks down who that is. Turns out it was Steve the whole time, but they couldn't let that be publicly known so as not to mess up the time line.

When Clint is running with the gauntlet Black Panther calls him by name which is a callback to Civil War where Clint tried to introduce himself but Black Panther said I don't care. Pepper wearing the Rescue suit called back to earlier in the film where his daughter is wearing the helmet and Tony says your mom never wears anything I get her. From here forward, the MCU starts a different saga, starting by the 1st act again. (phase 4) Where the focus it's in introducing the future characters and backgrounds. There's definitely mixed opinions, and a very divided fan base, and that's for many "reasons" but mostly it's: People expecting the next projects to have huge events that can compare to an avenger movie, complaining about the pace slowing down, asking all the time about the avengers, complaining about female protagonists.(Even if there's still a lot of males too) People complaining also about the MCU expanding into different cultures, complaining that the stories doesn't go like in the comics. (which it never did in the entire MCU) Others complaining that each project had a different vibe (Even if that's accurate to each comic),and of course, those calling everything that ain't cliché 'Woke'... Basically a lot of people trashed a lot of projects that in the end of the day,are not actually bad. (The things of Fat Thor and Smart Hulk that Tristan said he loved it,are already 2 of the things people hated already at this point...) Meanwhile, others actually enjoyed those projects as what they are and want to see more of it...

J.A.R.V.I.S - Just a Rather Very Intelligent System. Based on precisely that late butler he had in the comics, rather than his father as treated here on MCU. Still cool.

Nebula just knew that Gamora died. She didn’t know that a death was necessary to get the stone.

Tony, Natasha, Cap, and Vision are all gone. This timeline's version of Loki and Gamora both died as well, but the other Gamora is somewhere on our timeline, and the other Loki is somewhere, doing something. While it is technically not a "scene" in the proper sense of the word, I would encourage you to go back and play the very end of the credits and listen for a special Easter egg.

Great reaction you two! 😊 I was going to wait until later this evening to watch this. But I've been looking forward to this reaction so much! I've spent the last two days binge watching the rest of your Marvel reactions. And love them! RIP to Natasha Romanoff and then to Tony Stark for their ultimate sacrifices in order to save the world. They're the true MVP's of this movie along with the rat that brought back Scott Lang. Because without Scott they never would've thought of the time travel idea. 7:36 This was Stan Lee's final cameo appearance. And in case that either of you didn't recognize the kid standing behind Wanda, Sam, and Bucky at Tony's funeral. That was Harley Keener, the kid from "Iron Man 3". 33:28 Tristan asked about Gamora. There's a deleted scene that takes place after Tony's snap confirming that Gamora survived the snap and just walked off the battlefield. So, she's still out there. And up next is the conclusion of Phase 3 with "Spider-Man:Far From Home". After "Spider-Man: Far From Home" I hope that you two will continue on with Phase 4 of the MCU. If you do, be sure to watch the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy and the two Andrew Garfield "Amazing Spider-Man" movies. Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊

20:51 anyone (who's physically strong enough) can pick up the stormbreaker. Thor's father Odin put a spell on his original hammer, so only Thor can pick it, but there's no spell on the stormbreaker

The long and short of it is that any changes made in the Past (With one exception) makes a branch reality. Loki taking the Tesseract, Branch reality. (Loki _does_ get into this) There is now also a branch reality without a Thanos. Now, a few people do get confused wirh this part, but Cap and the Pym Particles do _not_ create a branch reality. This is because they created a Stable Time Loop. You can't _change_ history if you're already apart of history. Meaning Cap _always_ married Peggy in the MCU Timeline, and Cap _always_ stole the Pym Particles (Making Hank have an issue with Howard).

There is a deleted scene from just after Tony died, of everyone taking a knee in respect, except Gamora, who just walks away. It was cut for its excessive cheesiness.

23:22 Avengers Assemble is a phase from the comics. And that’s the first time in the 22 Marvel movies that someone said the actual phrase. Cap almost said it at the end of Age of Ultron until they cut to credits

This was peak MCU, but don't let the negativity from some fans get you down about Phase 4 and 5! Best to go into the next 2 Phases with a more open mind and don't expect much of a build to something specific. I love these next 2 Phases bc these are the Phases I fell in love with the MCU with, but even if you don't like it as much as the 1st 3 Phases, the experience is worth it imo. The MCU has been doing a lot more experimenting with other stories that weren't focused on or introduced before. There's some eh things, but a good amount of AWESOME movies and shows! Spiderman, Shangchi, Eternals, Black Panther 2, GotG3 and Dr. Strange 2 are stand out movies and show wise, most of them are great, but Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Echo and Ms. Marvel are some of my faves. You should ALSO consider watching the tv shows that came pre-Phase 4 that weren't considered canon to the MCU, but now have been retroactively made canon bc of how they play into the content they've released and will release like: Daredevil and the X-Men movies.

14:27 I had a thought a while back about Nat and Clint on Vormir. When they realized the cost, Could they have backed out? Found two people who loved each other, but one had a terminal disease and chose to sacrifice themself. So IF there were more Pymm particles it could have been done; providing that "Bad" Nebula was found out?? I know Big IFs ! but maybe... But there was probably not enough time though.

Everything in the MCU is well worth watching. There are highs and lows, but what comes after Endgame is pretty much on a level with what came before Endgame, so if you've enjoyed the ride thus far, you'll find plenty to enjoy moving forward.

this was tough, since it was the end of RDJ, Chris Evans and Scarjo's contracts with Marvel. Going into the theater we expected those three characters would have to be retired somehow. It didn't make it any easier though. I enjoyed all the callbacks in the film. Hope calling Steve, "Cap", Black Panther actually caring about Hawkeye's name (after their exchange in Civil War) and Bucky knowing that Steve wasn't coming back (that's why when Bruce and Sam are freaking out, Bucky just nods his head). I know a lot of people felt that Marvel should have rebooted things after this, but I've enjoyed most of what comes after...with a few exceptions. This movie was a perfect end to the first major arc of the MCU.

Don’t let the negative comments about post-End Game discourage you. Please keep watching projects in release order. Some characters still have their stories to continue. Some characters stories already ended. And there are plenty of new stories to tell with new characters. The overall story is definitely NOT over. Marvel even explores the idea of how the snap to bring people back effects everyone.

Regarding reaching this peak in Marvel movies, here are my thoughts. Everyone here loves Marvel; Old Marvel, MCU Marvel; There is a lot, and I think most Marvel reaction watchers will check out any of Marvels backlog, so don't feel pressured. Sure, some of the movies later might not all be as great, but its in seeing your reaction to those good and bad moments that do it for us. Considering where you are in the MCU, you are nearing the end of Phase 3, with the next movie Spider-Man: Far From Home concluding it. Phases 1-3 have since been labeled the "Infinity Saga", and, without getting into any spoilers, I will say Phases 4-6 have been labeled the "Multiverse Saga". So my thoughts are; after watching Spider-Man FFH, put a pause on the MCU movies and go back and re/watch the other Marvel series. Watch the older Spider-Man movies. Watch the X-men Series. Watch the 2000s Fantastic Four movies. Heck, I'd go as far to say watch Ghost Rider and Daredevil/Elektra movies too. You could just watch one series at a time, but if you want a more MCU "jumping between plot threads as the movies released" feeling, this is my preferred watch order for the legacy Marvel movies: 1 Blade (Cool for the time; 90s cringe, could skip) 2 X-Men 3 Spider-Man 4 Blade II 5 Daredevil (Funny bad) 6 X2: X-Men United 7 The Punisher 8 Spider-Man 2 9 Blade: Trinity 10 Fantastic Four (Marvel's first family) 11 X-Men: Last Stand 12 Elektra (Daredevil Sequel; boring bad) 13 Spider-Man 3 14 X-Men Origins: Wolverine 15 Ghost Rider (Funny bad staring classic Nic Cage) 16 Fanastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer 17 X-Men: First Class 18 Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance (Crazy bad with crazy Nic Cage) 19 The Wolverine 20 X-Men: Days of Future Past (Watch before starting MCU Phase 4 if possible?) 21 Punisher: War Zone (Reboot/Not a sequel) 22 Amazing Spider-Man 23 Deadpool 24 Amazing Spider-Man 2 25 X-Men: Apocalypse 26 Fant4stic (Corproate bad) 27 New Mutants 28 Logan 29 Deadpool 2 30 Venom 31 X-Men: Dark Phoenix -This is where we would cut back to the main MCU - 32 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Watch After What If) 33 Venom: Let There Be Carnage (Watch before Spider-Man: No Way Home) 34 Morbius (Total meme of a movie. Watch after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Can skip, but maybe watch for the laughs?) 35 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (After Dr. Strange 2) 36 Madame Web (BAD. After What If Season 2) Again, this is my own preferred order. It's based more off of when the movie were released, but shifted around so you are not watching the same series too often in a row. There are a few shifted that were are focused on maintaining my "headcannon" continuity between series and studios, but it would not reflect onto your viewing experience. Essentially, this is everything and anything that could be pulled for a joke in the upcoming next Marvel mega-crossover. Oh, and watch Netflix Daredevil, at least one season is possible :P

Thor's Axe, Stormbreaker, doesn't have a worthiness enchantment. His hammer, Mjolnir, has one because in the first THOR film, Odin placed that enchantment upon it himself in order to teach Thor humility. Anyone powerful enough can hold Stormbreaker. Only the worthy can wield Mjolnir. On the matter of the Soul-Stone, as others have pointed out, Nebula didn't know that the stone required that sacrifice. If you recall, Gamora herself didn't know about it until Red Skull laid out that condition and was initially pleased to find out that sacrificing something you love was the requirement. Nebula only knew the location of the stone, and the fact that the planet Vormir was a dark and barren place from which Gamora never returned after Thanos took her there.
@SirStarGazer006 ай бұрын
For the record, Stormbreaker is a hammer not an Axe. And unlike Mjolnir it's not enchanted so anybody could lift it.

You know after watching this for the thousandth time here, I didn't think about it before, but I was wondering how that ending with Captain staying behind with Peggy and the older Cap showing up means he always did that, but did he just never tell Peggy about Hydra within Shield? She started Shield for his honor and he knows how Hydra infiltrated Shield after WW2 and grew as part of shield on the inside. Seems they could have took what he knew from the future to put a stop to Shield before they took Shield down with them.

I think you should keep going. Whether you decide to record a reaction to each one could be up for debate, but I think there is still a lot of rich storytelling happening in Phase 4 and 5 and I think where they are going is encouraging. I know I'm in the minority, but the weakest entries in these phases I would personally score only as low as a 7 out of 10, they are still good entertaining films and disney+ shows with cool new character introductions. Most of them I would score at an 8 or 9 out of 10.
