This is what I want to happen. I can see something like every thing gets a reset and the superheroes they fight Thanos again and actually win, but at the cost of Captain America and maybe Vision. Afterwards Bucky becomes new Captain America.

A crap movie, badly developed characters, the villain's CGI is terrible, bored the first half and the plot is so ridiculous that makes the heroes depend on a single character at the end of it all. And that is my opinion of Justice League, Infinity War was intense and perfect.

This is why the MCU is ace. They know how to get you hyped for trailers without showing you the versions of those scenes in the movies. Scenes like Spider-Man swinging on titan through the debris, Peter and dr.stranges introduction, even scenes of dialogue from Thanos are most in the first few minutes or when he’s talking about perfect balance that’s from a flashback. They know how to get you hype but also show you stuff that’s more like additional footage so you are not spoiled by any marketing.

Well Bruce Banner crash landing at Sanctum Sanctorum was a nod to Infinity Gauntlet with Norrin Radd crashing into the Sanctum Sanctorum warning Doctor Strange and Wong the coming of Thanos. The disturbance in the force as various members of the Avengers wither away was a callback to Star Wars with Obi Wan sensing a disturbance. The Stormbreaker armor is the weapon of choice for Beta Ray Bill. Teenage Groot growing is a callback to Star Trek The Search for Spock. The Red Skull at Vormir is a nice way of tease Death which Thanos courts in the comics.

Kind of hard to rate it now as it is basically a part 1 of 2. So have to see how well it does/or doesn't setup Infinty Wars 2 to really fully rate it. If plot points are fumbled then it can bring down a rating quickly. Though as a stand alone review I would mark it in my top 5.

Just because you hated the comic book Iron Spider armor doesn't mean EVERYONE hated it. Most of the people I know liked it and were even disappointed that we didn't get a close rendition to it in the MCU's Iron Spider Armor.

I might be misremembering, but I recall the popular opinion was that the armor itself was cool but the story behind it was rage-inducing (it being closely tied to Peter revealing his identity all out-of-character and such, which ultimately led to One More Day although he isn't in the armor once he swapped sides). That would be my opinion too: the design is cool, but it symbolizes some really bad stories.

The back story for the armor IS Civil War. The identity reveal was a plot point of Civil War and a major one at that. It shows how much Peter trusted Tony's side. I like that armor too. Probably my top 5 spiderman suits.

With regards to the Footloose reference: I was under the impression that both Peter Quill & Peter Parker (both with the same first name, but different in age as well as their generation) were talking about the movie, Footloose, but neither picking up on the possibility that Quill was referencing the Footloose from 1984 while Parker was referencing the Footloose (remake) from 2011. There's actually a punchline at the end of their dialogue where Quill (note: forgive me, but I'm paraphrasing here) asks if Footloose is still one of the greatest movies ever made and Parker responds that the movie sucked, which also reflects the opinions of Footloose from their respected generations. In the 80's, Footloose was extremely popular and loved by many Gen-Xer's when it was released in theaters, as well as when it eventually arrived in video stores on VHS tape and then finally appearing on a cable premium channel, possibly HBO (way before DVD's, Blue Ray's, or Streaming). In 2011, the remake of Footloose was released in theaters. However, I still have not seen this remake and almost had forgotten that it was ever remade until the reference in Avengers: Infinity War. My impression from the reference of Parker's negative opinion of Footloose could be directed at either a bad remake in 2011 or a laughable dated classic from 1984 or both. Any Millennials, who have seen the 2011 remake of Footloose, want to share their opinions of the remake and/or on the original 1984 Footloose? Any Millennials agree with Peter Parker? And, can anyone confirm that a dance-off occured in the 2011 remake?

Hulk appears once in full Hulk version while on the Asgardian refugee ship, cued in by Loki saying “ ... & for another, we have a Hulk”; to fight Thanos. After getting beatdown by the Great Titan, hes too scared to come out fully again leading Banner to pilot the Hulkbuster armor during the battle on the plains of Wakanda. However, you see multiple times his skin start to go green & a couple of times half of Hulks head fuses with Banners to have him halfway transform, which is enough for him to say “ NOOOOOOO!” before transforming back. This, too, is a callback seeing as in the first Avengers movie, Banner asked Black Widow what’s she’d do if the other guy said “ No”; during his recruitment scene. He, clearly, at the time didnt expect to regret not finding out then because of Hulk literally saying “Noooooooo”; at some of the worst possible times back then, but it makes for a funny throwback & a missed opportunity for a funny conversation occurring in light of that.

When Tony Starks talked to Strange about what Strange can do is just "Balloon Animal Wrapping" is related to Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2016 and Doctor Strange is a guest in there.

Did anyone else notice the original comic book version of Captain America's costume underneath his movie version?...In Imax it's so detailed..his suit is damaged in the chest area and if you look at the holes you can see the scales on his comic book costume...facts👍👍

Tony Stark actually is about to tell Banner about how he got the Nanotech when Ebony Maw hurls him up. He goes "...it's a little something I picked up..." and gets interrupted. I think he got the tech from Wakanda. After two years they have probably shared some of that knowledge, although, not many can make the most of it like Stark can. Also his suit might be Vibranium, otherwise I don't think we would have lasted as long as he did during that final battle.
