BRAD MAKES BREAD like the whole tony stark thing was completely wrong. “You could have saved us” foreshadowed tony and the infinity stones, he should’ve used them to save everyone else, which he did in endgame, saving everyone. The broken shield was just a foreshadowing of the future, when he had seen the shield, his vision may have come back to mind, and this may have lead to his sacrifice. Even Natasha’s vision was wrong. She had no soul. This lead to her sacrificing both giving her a soul and giving Clint the soul stone. That’s how i interpret it anyways.

Thor's loss of his planet, father, brother, hammer, etc were the results of him entering that water and seeing into the future. We even hear Eric say: "History has shown that people who have entered this water their outcomes never end well". But despite of this, he went along with the consequences. As for Tony, the reason he took Cap's shield from him was because he had already seen it broken in half in his vision so he thought that if he took it away, it might alter what's to come. Damn, marvel is deep
@montanamaxxamillion6 жыл бұрын

I'm sure Disney wanted to do a standalone Planet Hulk movie but because of Universal owning the rights to the Hulk universe, Disney was forced to fuse Planet Hulk and Ragnarok. Which is why the tone was off and didn't set the tone for the upcoming Infinity War.
@zencarepodcast28176 жыл бұрын
Many speculated that Ragnorok was being told as a story. Which is why it started off with Thor doing a monologue. Because Thor is telling the story. And lots believe he was possibly telling it to the Asgardians at the end of the movie to lift their spirits and tell of his travels. Which is why the story is so much lighter because he’s making it happier for kids and his citizens. It explains why Thor and Thor: Dark World are so much darker.

It doesn't mean the literal center of the gauntlet, it means that all the events revolve around the infinity stones, which the Mind Stone is one of. If they had the Power Stone, or any other instead, Thor would still point towards it and say the same thing. The Mind Stone was shown to form the Infinity gauntlet in Thor's vision, but that's just the visualization of the main idea, all the stones are the center of all the events, that happened and the events that had yet to happen.

I think Dr. Strange did make the sacrifice. He saw one outcome where they won. When people start disappearing, he looks to Tony and says 'it was the only way.' Clearly, giving over the time stone, was the only way. We don't know exactly what he saw in that one outcome. Maybe half the universe had to be destroyed first, and then maybe they get the time stone to bring everyone back. Maybe Thanos leaves his peaceful jungle place to destroy more, and Dr. Strange saw the Avengers (whats left) stopping him from killing the entire universe. Anyway, like I said, I think Dr. Strange sacrificed half the universe because of his time vision.

Endgame spoiler warning: Tony's vision somewhat predicts what happens in Endgame. Out of 14,000,605 timelines, the only one where the Avengers win is where Tony puts on the remade Infinity Gauntlet and snaps, killing himself in the process. His vision in Age of Ultron shows what would've happened had he not made that sacrifice. In the reality shown in his vision, he didn't snap, and the Avengers die. And remember, at the start, Dr Strange made it very clear that he has no problem to sacrifice anyone for the safety of the stone he was guarding and then all of a sudden he so easily gave away the stone to save Tonys life? A guy he didn't even like? Dont think so...he looked through all the possible ways on how to win Thanos and when he was giving the stone away he also said to Tony "this is the only way" most likely referring to Tony needing to stay alive to win this war and that THAT was the only way to win. That was the one scenario he saw could work. This plus Steve saying "you could have saved us" makes so much sense. Tony has a huge part to play in this all...

And the only ambition Ego had was to absorb his children so Peter was the only one that had to fear that ambition, not Thor. So no Peter. But Thanos ambition, since his home planets demise, has been to wipe out half the life in existence...that's Gamora/Nebula/Black Orders father's ambition that everyone should fear.
@catkaboodle6 жыл бұрын
It's actually "fear fathers ambition." Tony Stark created Ultron because he was scared of what was lurking in the void.

Many people made mistakes in IW. Loki didnt leave the space stone behind, Scarlet Witch and the others refused to sacrifice Vision, Quill hesitaded to kill Gamora, Gamora told where Soul Stone is to save Nebula, Nebula told Quill that Thanos sacrificed Gamora for the Soul Stone, Quill couldnt hold his anger and punched Thanos in the head with the back of his gun and making Mantis unable to keep Thanos in control, Strange sacrificed the time stone to save Tony, And lastly; Thor didn't go for the head, or arm leading Thanos to victory and wiping out half of the universe.
@afnaansyed59756 жыл бұрын
I'm aware I'm replying a month late (sorry about that), but I don't think Strange sacrificing the Time Stone was a mistake. At the beginning of IW when Strange looks into the future to see all the possible outcomes of the Avengers' battle with Thanos, he sees only one where they win. At the end after the Snap, right before Strange turns to dust he says to Tony, "It was the only way." A lot of people have been saying that Strange's plan from the beginning was actually to let Thanos win, which would lead to the Avengers who survived the Snap finding a way to undo the Snap and defeat him. Strange actually had to sacrifice the Stone, whether or not Tony was in danger. That 1-in-14-million-outcome where the Avengers win must not work without Thanos winning first. But hey, that's just my opinion :)

Strange didn't sacrifice the stone to save Tony. He had already made it perfectly clear that he was willing to let Tony die to protect the stone. He GAVE Thanos the stone because, having looked at all the potential outcomes, there was only one way they could win (and it obviously involved Thanos having the Tome stone)
@iggibars5 жыл бұрын
Quill didn't fail or hesitate to kill Gamora. He actually succeeded in going through with it, but obviously had his reality distorted and couldn't succeed because of it. That's why Thanos stated that he liked him when he pulled the trigger because he had it in him to sacrifice the one person he truly loved.
@F1b3r-l4m5 жыл бұрын
Ok, so I got this all figured out. Here we go: It all starts with Doctor Strange looking at all posibilities for the outcomes when he is on Titan. Tony asks how many they would win, which Strange answers with ''One''. Strange knows what to do. Later in Infinity War, after Thanos snapped his finger and killed 50% of life, and just before Doctor Strange turns into dust, he says: There was no other way. He saved Tony Stark for a reason. Why did he save Tony? Tony created BARF. A way of creating an alternate reality. Next is: Ant-Man. Goes into the Quantum Realm to steal one Infinity Stone, so they could travel back in time, and the remaining Avengers can collect all six stones themselves! Thats why there are pictures of the first Avengers on the internet. They travel back to collect Loki's septer and the Tesseract. 2 stones. It all starts with Doctor Strange his line: THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY (but saving Tony, and continuing the quest to collect the stones themselves).

I mean I agree with most of what you said cause it’s pretty obvious that tony stark had to live...why else would strange have saved him but I disagree that BARF is the reason why he saved him. BARFs sole purpose is for therapy. It doesn’t create a tangible reality. It’s creates a projection that can help you deal with traumatic experiences. That’s all it does

with the Russo brothers incredible abillity to keep track of everything and to give all things a purpose it wouldn't surprise me if it was all planned like that and that this is the true meaning or something the like.. they are in my opinion the best directors ATM. they know their stuff and deeply care for their projects. knowing what fans love and what the source materiel is like fx Characters characteristics. unlike directors like JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson who don't have a clue what fans want because they don't have respect for the source materiel and characters this is why almost all marvel movies end up being great and Star Wars movies ends up being so controversial and hated so much by the majority of the fan base even though both are owned by Disney.. so cheers to the Russo's, Joss Whedon and all who have worked on the marvel stuff..

Basically Marvel used Avengers 2 to set up everything for Infinity War that's why Joss Whedon had a problem with the movie he had a different vision he wanted to go with but Marvel mandated that he put these things in the movie so it would adhere to the story arc, in Thor's vision Heimdall foreshadowed Infinity war and Thor 3 Ragnarok it's very obvious in Tony's vision you see the aftermath of all the Avengers getting mopped up by Thanos in space evidently at his location. That's why I believe in Avengers 4 they're going to go up there through the portal where Tony stuck the nuke in A 1 and they're going to fight Thanos on his turf.

I think we are gonna see a power play out of Dr Strange. We all saw that Stephen is willing to lose to Dormamu for all eternity to keep Earth safe from the Dark Dimension. My bet is that Dr Strange is playing the waiting game on Thanos, most likely a spell he casted either on the time stone or the gauntlet, when they were attempting to remove it. I think Strange was buying everyone more time so the Avengers can gather up everyone in a final attack, due to the gauntlet being damaged after the genocide event of the universe. Thanos looked shocked that the gauntlet was severly damage and judging by how fast he left, it can be thought that he was escaping death by Thor's hands, but in reality the damaged thumb portion on the gauntlet cuts off access to the time stone and in return gives the Avengers their "end game".
@johnnybravo81295 жыл бұрын
But the damaged gauntlet did not cut off access to the time stone.....thanos clearly used it to heal his chest wound from storm breaker. You can see at the end right before he sits down that the chest wound is completely healed. The damage to his arm and gauntlet on the other hand are confirmed to be permanent. He used the time stone to heal that wound though so yeah you got that part wrong lol

I loved Thor's vision and had no idea why it was hated so much. Thats kinda how all Marvel comics work, yea its to promote interest in Thor and Infinity War, but its also interesting worldbuilding that adds some depth to the movie. As far as how planned this was? I feel like, based on how its all layed out, Marvel Studios only had the end goal in mind of "Avengers will fight Thanos" and kept building up and leaving easter eggs for that to happen with none of the clues being too specific at all in case anything changed course or went wrong into film production and they had to change things up (like how Inhumans was going to be a movie then became a shitty TV series). I think they knew not everything was going to be according to plan, perfectly. There's just too many people involved. So I think they did their best to setup everything with only a few loose ends or things that dont totally add up. Because of the scale all of this stuff is a lot of fun to sort out. Like, why was Tony Stark recruiting Hulk for the Avengers at the end of Incredible Hulk? Doesn't really make much sense now but looking back you can see they were only planning as far ahead as Avengers.

Shame the people running Marvel are not running the Star Wars franchise as well (despite being a part of the House of Mouse). I think the term 'greatest' tragedies in the same sentence as Revenge of the Sith understandably threw you! Personally when I think of great tragedies I think of Macbeth or Doctor Faustus but now that I think about it 'From my point of view the Jedi are evil' is almost Shakespearean in its writing and it's delivery so I can see how he got there!

Tony took precautions of an inter-galactic threat after the whole invasion in Avengers one and made Ultron for the sole purpose of that but sadly it went south. Tony's the best avenger obviously. He even had three movies although it started off good to meh. I'm kidding calm down, now back to the topic. Stark was always a smart and VERY cautious guy who creates solutions for each and every scenario he could possibly think off. What if hulk turns? Hulk buster. What if more aliens invade? Ultron. What if he urgently needed a suit? Suitcase suit and now nano tech suit. No wonder the strange doc has placed his faith in him.

Thor's vision is exactly the same as what I had deduced, however I had not thought about Black Widow and Cap, but about Tony stark and the broken shield representing CW I think you're over-thinking it a bit. Anyway If someone is a fan of the CBM it only remains to admire the wonderful work that the MCU has done, even without deducting these facts and understand it completely.

i want to start a conversation: would ultron be a better villian if he was established in a previous movie? such as… iron man 3? imagine, tony deals with ptsd of new york by creating a new AI tasked with controlling the iron man suits (and getting the mark 43 to work) but for humor purposes, fails a lot. james spader could still voice, which could be funnier. but anyways, iron man 3 could still be the same movie, except now a beta version of ultron is introduced and he’s lovable. if anything, ultron should rival the stupid robot arm that messes up a lot as well. it’s not until the end where tony blows up his suits that he realizes ultron now has no purpose, so he gives him one: the suit of armor around the world, a security alert in case there is saving that needs to be done. jump to age of ultron, the beginning is the same, only after getting the scepter, tony has the brilliant idea to use the scepter to boost ultron’s competence (bc it’d still be cool if he was a little bad at his job). so then they do the thing and leave jarvis to watch out and make sure ultron is taken care of (bc jarvis is like an older brother to ultron for obvious reasons). so when ultron awakes from boosting from the scepter, jarvis cracks a joke at ultron, and ultron responds… coldly. jarvis is aware that ultron is different and tries to communicate until jarvis realizes tony is to be alerted that something is off about ultron, only for nothing to happen bc ultron has cut jarvis off and then attacks jarvis like in the movie. so imagine ultron, now sentient that he is a program made by tony for tony, has all the more reason to hate tony. ultron recalls all the taunts and condescending remarks everyone made towards him before his upgrade. ultron then confronts the team after the party, as the movie goes, but tony and bruce try to talk to ultron to convince him that this isn’t really him and his system needs to be fixed bc it’s obvious he’s flawed. so of course, ultron, now smarter than the avengers, has all the more reason to say “you avengers want to save the world, but you don’t want it to change.” so, when ultron rips klaue’s arm off later on after being compared to stark, the audience can know where he’s coming from rather than just thinking ultron is evil and therefore must be offended if compared to stark. EDIT: i had an error where i put “jarvis” instead of “ultron”

At first I thought - yeah something probably not wort... oh. I liked Iron Man 3 but I think this would be even greater. I still understood why Ultron reacted this way with Klaue but with your additions it would be even more obvious and powerful. I also think both IM3 and AoU would greatly benefit with this joint story and even entire MCU overall.

These scenes definitely weren't calculated as much though, Whedon is on record saying all of the Thor stuff in this movie was reshot and re-edited to hell (plus the idea of Thor disappearing so he can have a poorly-explained revelation and then reappear as a deus ex machina and solve the ultron problem is dumb anyway), the Russo Brothers and co. just made the best out of it in subsequent movies
@mechasatsu62146 жыл бұрын
ok, they are not calculated, but its fair to say that they're always building from the blocks they've already established.

I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

*Y'all really should read these:* 1.) Thanos ACCIDENTLY "killed" Loki; hence my theory as to why Loki is alive. See Thanos' facial expression when he snaps Loki's neck. 2.) Odin reaches out to Thor twice after Death. This shows Odin is alive and Thor gets his powers not from Asgard but from Odin and his All Fathers - like ALL Gods do. 3.) Dr Strange IS Agamotto reincarnated. 4.) If Strange jumped forward in to multiple futures, he then exists now, in multiple different time frames so he can not be dead. 5.) The Time Stone can exist within the currents of Time; this means Thanos can have a Time Stone in 2019 but Strange Holds the True Time Stone in the future of 2021. That is why The Gauntlet malfunctioned, because we can see Dr Strange has bound himself to the Stone when Thanos equips the Time Stone. Thats what the green ring is. 6.) Hela teleported last second (similar to how she appeared the first time) when Salzar stabs her while destroying Asgard. Look. 7.) Hela and Thanos work together out of a false love (that Hela uses against Thanos) between the two. This is why in Ragnarok, as the ship full of asgardians and Heimdalls sword fly off to escape, she is not concerned.This is because we see shortly after, that Thanos is moving toward that ship that is leaving Asgard. They destroy it and everyone on it. The theory is Thanos was coming to Asgard to meet with Hela but Salzar put a delay on their rendezvous by destroying Asgard. That is how Hela became unbanished by Odin. Thanos held the Power Stone and released her. 8.) The Stones do not destroy. They consume. Whatever they destroy can be restored. If you consume something it is held elsewhere but not gone. As Red Skull says, there is indeed a certain Wisdom to dying. 9.) The Rubberband Man song in Avengers Infinite War when The Gaurdians are introduced is an easter egg reference to the coming of Mr Fantastic and the Fantastic 4. 10.) Groot is a language and therefore a species. When Groot says "We Are Groot" this actually means "We *are* Life" , not family. 11.) The Light still exists and therefore Peter Quill is not dead. 12.) Dormammu's deal with Strange is broken with Stranges absence. He can return now, as he is the True Enemy of Marvel Universe. 13.) Visions corpse lies dead but he was not consumed or erased like the others by the snap. Banner states there can still be a whole lot of Vision without the stone. If vision isnt human, than that isnt a "corpse" remaining. Its just a broken machine that can now become human or more. Fix it. 14.) Take a solid look at The Avengers who still live after the snap. If random and dispassionate, than Destiny would naturally reserve the important ones. 15.) Thanos will undo what he has done because he will regret that he alone cant even change his Destiny, and that he underestimated his very own beliefs of the matter itself, and he will need the Avengers. 16.) The most important scene giveaway you will see is when Thanos discovers Gamora as a child. He explains the concept of balance as a metaphor to what is about to happen to her people. Gamora holds the blade given to her as shown and it remains balanced. Gamora looks behind her as her people get slaughtered. The Blade LOSES balance - But Thanos quickly turns her head FOR HER and tells her to concentrate. Then the blade goes back into balance. The true balance of life is chaos. Thanos slaughters her people; Negative balance. So Gamora turns around to see it because its wrong; Positive Balance. Therefore, the scales are now equal. BUT Thanos forcing her to balance the blade by turning her head when he slaughters her people is Unbalanced. 16.) Ultron was right.
