I took a sharpie and marked where the controller and battery connector originally were so that I could easily line up the controller for reinstall. It worked just fine.

I couldn’t get the top to bottom alignment without the control of the insert. Turned into an ordeal honestly. 1 of the bottom screws was a bit offset

@@ElectricAllWheel I'm close to doing this on my Abound, my Datex2 just made it to Canada via Turkiye. I bought a set of impact driver bits for my 1/4 " drive cordless impact driver, I'm hoping it works better than just an allen wrench to remove my battery plate and controller without stripping the heads

@@ElectricAllWheel my biggest challenge on my Abound was fitting the connector block and the DATEx2 combiner inside the frame, absolutely not enough room - I had to use extensions and set my DATEx2 externally under the crossmember behind the BB. I did have to chase the threads on my battery block to accept the same screws that I removed to mount the Electric All-Wheel harness.

What does this get me that just carrying an extra battery and swapping out when needed? Am I missing something here?

When 2 battery's are hooked up does the Aventon A.2 display show battery % as they drain ?

If both are charged full before use, the display will show the voltage of both as one

I wouldn't touch this job with a 10 foot pole. I wonder if my local bike shop would do it. Does it void the warranty? This would be done on a new purchase of a a V2 Aventure. Would trade my V1 in
