A 52v battery with 30amp max discharge will mostly melt your motor connectors., keep an eye on it

The amps will only max out at the current limit of the controller for the bike.

I've got a different screen on mine that shows wattage (key disp type). the xpeak takes about 700-800 watt to maintain 20. I'm 175lbs and I'm using street tread which has better rolling resistance than the knobby. and I'm at 20psi. that means i can do about two hours at about 20mph before eating 1400wh. so that's about 40 miles. of course we know you can't get high wattage across the full capacity of lithium ion so you aren't going to likely get 40 miles at 20mph...the last 20% capacity will lead to speed creeping lower and lower. i estimate closer to 40 miles and you'll be doing the last 20% much slower than 20mph. this would be a bit better if both batteries were 48 as it would reduce sag and reduce lost energy from heat within the batteries by sharing the load and running at half the current. i avg 500w at the same speed on my cobra pro (which is decently heavier) but you have to shift with a mid drive. 52v is fun though. my wife has a deer mini and it's crazy at accelerating compared to bigger 48v bikes. hub motor's just screaming at 30mph on little 20" wheels.

Did you use the extra battery carrying bag or the direct mount of your set up
@cellsafemode
@cellsafemode 6 ай бұрын
@@rolandgadue4351 direct mount. the upp 14.4 ah 48v doesn't even need an adapter plate to bolt on the the downtube water bottle mount. i use the plastic spacers in came with(all of them) and it's on there pretty solid. the step over has plenty of room in the triangle for it. looks clean... well as clean as an external battery could look. I'm not sure if other brands would mount without an adapter. i got one to do the install but totally didn't need it. the only downside to how I've mounted is that the third mounting hole is not able to be used. it would cause the battery to not be placed on the tube where i want it. but two mounting screws is fine.

I bought a Lectrix xPeak and also received a spare battery with it. Do you have a kit that will allow me to wire into the system the spare battery? I want to mount the spare battery on the rear rack and leave it there permanently.

Personally I like having the battery swappable it has me in the habit of always topping the one I have been running off when I make stops,it has been my only Vehicle in rural Virginia since March.900 miles so far no and no flats.Lectrics customer service has taken good care of me only work I have done is had my controller spaz out and they replaced it.and I swap brake pads every couple months.

On the XPeck, can I run two 48V 14Ah batteries at the same time?
@ElectricAllWheel
@ElectricAllWheel 6 ай бұрын
We don’t have a plate adapter for the second factory battery of an XPeak, but you can adapt one of the folding e-bike batteries to use with it. Other wise you can use any Ah battery you want.

i have dual 48v 14ah batteries on my xpeak. throttle only running 20mph and an avg speed of 18mph with stop and go (residential riding) i went 20.2 miles and the battery voltage was about 47v. this is about 50% . I'd say you have maybe 25-30% more at 20mph before you start suffering reduced performance. but you can probably get 40 miles total out of this setup. i have mine mounted on the bottle mount on the downtube. so weight is centered in the bike. my battery balance box is mounted under the pedals mounted in a 3d printed little skid plate cover thing y made for it so everything is kept tight to the controller area with no wires needing to go anywhere. overall it's a good upgrade if you're looking for a long ride. battery sag is extremely reduced as well so you will get more accurate battery voltage readings.
