Hi I’m Luke Hickson, welcome to my channel Hicks Golf Vlogs. I played golf in October 2021 and since then have been hooked to the game.
In my first 12 months of playing golf, I took my Handicap from 30 to 13 and started making Vlogs documenting my journey on KZbin and social media in October 2022.

Nice content mate. I'm about 8 months into golf and have come down from 30's to a 20 handicap and regularly shooting mid 90's now. Great tips on the channel about swinging at 80%. I'm also working on the same stuff in this video, I'm coming over the top a bit and my natural shot is a fade. Keep it up!

Good stuff Ben! When I got into golf I regularly got told when I swing slow I hit really nice shots. So I started trying to feel like I only swing at 80% and it really worked for me. Good luck with your golf journey!

Quite a few decent tips on your channel for us beginners/ high handicappers. Cheers 👊🏼 Did you notice your ball position changed when hitting the 3 wood from your 1st to last swing? Ball position was maybe a ball/ball and half back to start with, then you finished with it right on your heel at the end. That's maybe how it gave the clubface time to close more to help with the draw. It's how I'm hoping to fix my spicy slice 😂

Found you channel recently, and amazed how lightning fast your development that your handicap is going as low as 13 now in only 1 year? I’m also a 1 year’ish newbie (started August ‘21), but you’re definitely thousand miles better than me…no I’m still 19 handicapper…with slice banana strike for driver… (Thats why I rarely use driver, hence 3 or 5 wood on the go) .. Appreciate your effort to have a lesson with a PGA Pro, but I would think that golf, like any other skill set for any sports, is evolving in us, and I doubt that this is something that could be taught, unless for anyone who really just started the game, and know nothing about it, or anyone aim to be a pro or the pro itself…. If any amateur could score in the 80 or low 90, means they have pretty good swing already, and all they need is more course experience…..for me, lesson with a coach sometime could mess my swing thought, which should evolve naturally … but thats me…. Great videos…keep it coming mate…!

Too much arms and not enough rotation into the left leg, almost early extension. Having said that, Adams swing is a bit like that as well! Try planting weight down onto your left heel just before your backswing completes. The trouble with lessons is that you often only then think of one swing thought, as advised, rather than the multitude of ‘noise’ thoughts. I’ve often pointed things out to good swingers at the range who were having problems, who then started it hitting it better, and thanked me, but they hadn’t actually made any change, just focused on one thought instead. You are clearly going to be a very low handicap soon. Try watching some of Milo Lines videos, I think he’s the best tutor on KZbin.
